The other day I wanted to measure a camshaft lobe... so I grabbed one of my digital calipers... Dammit... dead battery... and no spare handy.
Grabbed the 2nd set I had... and the display was jumping all over random numbers. Swapped in a new battery and it wasnt any better. So... I grabbed the last set of calipers I had. They were old dial calipers and worn... probably have had them since I was a teenager (35+ years ago) as it was the very first calipers I owned. This was before digital ones existed... and guess what ??? They still worked perfectly. |
