They’re not bad. I have probably one or two a year. I didn’t know if my wife had ever eaten one, so I asked her. She tells me she’s never had a Big Mac. I’m not sure I believe her. She followed it up with “I’ve never had a Big Dick, either,” which I know to be true, so who knows.

When I was still eating McDonald's double quarter pounder with cheese was my go do. Don't think I've ever tried a Big Mac.
Eating low-carb is basically impossible with McDonald's so I haven't eaten there in years. |
A couple of years ago, MDs introduced the Grand Mac. It was legit burger, like something you'd get at a decent sit down restaurant. Probably why they stopped serving it
Never had one. Don't like rabbit food on my burgers and I don't need some retarded middle bun.
Haven’t had one in decades.
Quarter pounder with cheese is a very different story. |
McDonalds food used to taste a lot better I think. I'm not sure what it is about the big mac but I've never liked them. Quarter pounders were good and cheeseburgers were fine but something changed in them over the years and I find I'd rather go to other places for fast food. even the breakfasts have gone downhill.
They are definitely smaller than they used to be,and the bread is not as good. I've always loved them, with a coke. But only have one a couple times a year. Went thru drive-thru a few weeks ago. The big Mac meal super-sized was $9.99. Yeah, way too much. Not too long ago they were $2.99 for the meal.

I've had maybe 8 or 10 in my lifetime.
Always due to poors and/or a tearing hurry. There's always a Big Mac or two waiting under the heat lamps. |

Quoted: Quoted: For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!". Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs. I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant. Surprised it took this long Same. Perfect application. |

Yes many many years ago when they were in that foam yellow container. Wrong order
Hell, I worked at a couple different McDonald's in my youth and I've never eaten one of those monstrosities.
Never had one, the Double Quarter Pounder x2 has always been my go-to.
Yes plenty of them before I realized they are pure poison for the body.
Well, considering that they went nationwide in 1968, I've had a bunch of them. But I also agree that they used to taste different, and better than they do now. I've probably had one every few years for the last couple decades.
The quarter pounder was changed and is not as good. I usually get the regular cheeseburgers or McDoubles. I like the diced onions better than the big chunks.
Not that I recall.
I’ve had their double cheeseburger though, which is essentially the same thing. |
I have to admit my big Mac today was not as good as I recall say a decade ago

I like it without that middle bun thingy. Then it becomes like the Hardee’s Big Twin. I like ordering with their app, but they don’t allow very many variations when using the app.
I remember when the Hardee’s Big Deluxe cost $0.65 each and regular hamburgers were maybe $0.30. |

I'm one of those who genuinely thinks they used to taste better and wonders what they do now to make everything taste so nasty. View Quote They did used to be better. They've had to cut corners to reduce cost same as everyone else. Whoppers and Wendy's used to be better, too. Another large factor is workers just don't give a shit at most places. Go to a place where management knows how to motive the employees and they have good raw material, and you can still get quality burgers. Culver's, here, is still very good, and reasonably priced. So, it isn't impossible. People just suck. Hardee's is extremely location dependent. Go to a good one and it is one of the better burgers out there. A bad one isn't worth thr time to throw it in the trash. Big Macs were pretty good. But they're a little like white castle, for me. About every couple years I'll decide I want one ( or a few sliders) and every time, I'm disappointed. |

I've probably had one every few years for the last couple decades. View Quote I've been watching a show called "The Food that Built America" on Hulu. They had an episode about the battle between Burger King and McDonalds. The Big Mac was designed to compete with the Whopper but used the same form factor they were already using for the regular burgers, same size patties and buns just half another one in the middle. Pretty smart move actually, otherwise they would have had to revamp their supply chain and make changes in the kitchens to accommodate a bigger burger. |

Maybe a couple of Big Mac's in my entire life. But not since I was in high school 40 + years ago or so.
But for some strange reason, my wife and I will get a Quarter Pounder w/Cheese about once every couple of years. We always say the same thing after we eat it; "Dang, it taste the same as it always has!" And then I make the same old Pulp Fiction Joke about the French calling it a Royale with Cheese because they are on the metric system... |

Ruin a burger with that nasty ass "special sauce" no thanks. Went for the Quarter Pounder instead.

Many, but I've had far more Quarter Pounders w/cheese, McDoubles, and Cheeseburgers.

Honestly only once I think.
I didn't hate it, there are just other things I would have rather had if I was going to McD's. |

Every once in a while I get a hankering for a Big Mac.
Just like I get a hankering for a Whopper every once in a while |
