That's kind of always been my take on those breeds. Neat dogs (when they're cared for properly), but I'd never have any want for owning one. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Farthest i’m going is a Boerboel or Anatolian Shepherd. Well, probably both. The Anatolians will be out with the critters, though. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

For those looking to get into that game, I always recommend a trial run with a really big dog first. Then a largish dog with a territorial, sharp temperament. Then, if they can safely train and handle both of those, try something like a Tibetan Mastiff. The TMs are a scaled back version of the CO and CS. Slightly smaller, usually, and not quite as inclined to eat someone’s face off. If they can safely manage and train a series (not a one off, but several) of TMs, and are still interested in one of the Caucasian breeds, they’re probably ready to handle it. View Quote but a large, territorial, sharp temperament dog that is big enough to eat a stranger is not something I'd want. |

Learn a new skill. Reloading, brewing beer, distilling alcohol, getting your ham license. You are a rather large dude. Hence, one of our biggest. And you have a bunch of electronic stuff - computers, HAM, musical mixing equipment - you know how to use. Hence, nerd. Put the 2 together, and you are one of our biggest nerds. Now, put on your pocket protector, and go earn dat chedda, yo! Also 21 pounds less big now! |

So $1000 turned into $700. I guess that answers the "Is it taxed" question.

It's actually been interesting talking to a few folks on the radio during this shit storm. You get their perspective of what's happening locally vs what the news is telling you.

I know a fantastic Deerhound breeder up your way. I was >< close to getting a pup from her, but she was planning on keeping a male and a female, and that’s all that was born. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

If you like big and shaggy, there are not so sharp breeds for that. Newfs, Leos, St. Bernards, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Pyrenees, Spanish Mastiffs, etc. Deerhound or Wolfhound would be first assuming we also already have a gun dog of some sort. |

I used HamStudy.org. It was free. I also downloaded a practice test app to my phone so I could study in my spare time when I wasn't at home. Also also, the No Nonsense Study Guide is really good. It's a PDF file you can buy online. It gives you all the test answers but also explains why the correct answer is the correct one. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

If you pass one level they'll typically ask if you want to try for the next. You might as well since it's free and can't hurt anything. Unless you're testing under Laurel VEC which does it all for free anyway. When I took General I hadn't even looked at the Extra material. I passed General easily so I gave Extra a shot since I was already sitting there. Got something like 48% View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
