Some very talented folks here.

I make knives that vary from fantasy to practical. All are made from repurposed materials except the leather.

Built a Tamiya model tank 2 years ago. Probably build another one this winter. Knife making looks fun. Don't have time, room or money to build a replica Cobra.

I'm kinda into guns, hunting and shooting.

That's... about it, right now.  Used to build knives, work on cars, etc... but I'm pretty much just focused on guns.

Coaching my kids sports teams.  It’s oddly relaxing.

Fun part is that I have a passing knowledge of the sorts, but the kids enjoy it; so it’s a win?

Lately, just 1/32 scale models. Aircraft. Well, mostly 1/32.  Haven’t set up any wood working projects lately. Haven’t been shooting in years.

I'm not big into bikes but I dig the paint and the work you put into it.

Can you go into some details about the painting process of the graphics on the frame and tank on that bike???

8-10 years ago, I had my S10 Blazer (a tricked out Low rider) repainted a similar to factory maroon color, then the guy went all the way around the bottom body line with this HOK, Golden Sunburst Orange Color somehow and from the front bumper, over the fenders and hood, flowing down the doors all the way to the rear quarter panels he laid down Ghost Flames (also on the underside of the hood) and in some of the Ghost Flames, their were Skulls, ribs and other shit hidden...

So when you look at it straight on or in some angles, it really just looks Maroon, but move a few degrees and the flames and stuff come out...

How do they do that, how did you do that.

Do they paint it a solid base coat of some color, then put the flames or graphics down in a sorta silver pearl, then paint the maroon, then paint the graphics again in the Golden Sunburst orange pearl, then clear coat it a few layers and buff the crap out of that???

Am I any where near close or way off the ranch???

Feel free to go into as many details as you car to share... Or even start a new thread on these types of graphics and paint jobs..

Every time I see one, I wonder what all the phases are past the actual body work.

You need crabmeat.

I can't afford crab meat, I've fallen down into the Games Workshop hole and started buying their stuff again. My parents moved last year and demanded I come pick up all my crap from their basement and I fell back down into their grasp when I had avoided it by being loyal to Modiphius and other smaller producers to scratch the action figure itch. I'd managed to avoid their products for ~25 years but Necromunda is just too damn good.

I have a guy for paint that is a true artist.  You give him a color and you get what you get, but his paint work is known around the world.

Fabrication is more what I do.

I used to build model wooden ships but got out of it when I had kids.
One of these days I might just bite the bullet and buy a cutty sark kit. I always really like the look of it, and a lot easier than the Sovereign of the Seas, USS Constitution, etc kits.
