AT 59, I can say its been more than 59 years since Ive watched the stupor bowl.

We're visiting the inlaws and I watched the first half with my father in law who has Parkinsons.
I made it to half time and once the "entertainment" started, I had to bow out. I had also already spent 3 hours watching hockey with him, so I was way past my boob toob limit already. (FYI Alexa Landestoy has very boney elbows) |
I watched the Chicago Bears beat the New England Patriots back in 1985.
I went to a friend's Super Ball party but don't recall the teams, it was about 10-years ago. One of my friends was a super sports nut and had three 65" TVs in his living room with three sofas. |

When I write my book on the fall of the American empire, a chapter in the book will be the preoccupation with sports.
Obviously a nation-state has failed when it cannot secure its borders, it attempts to operate on multiple languages, it loses its wars, it purposely devalues its currency, it purposely produces generations of illiterate/uneducated citizens, its elections are farcical, and it justice system is thoroughly corrupt. All that, and your average citizen can tell you what Taylor Swift wore to the game and every statistic under the sun about a football game/player, but can't cogently discus any of the above topics. We are doomed. |
I guess it might be around 20 years or so.
I have to get up at 4, so I'm not taking off or missing sleep because of a football game. If it was on a Saturday night, I'd probably head out and watch it with others at a bar, but that would be more about socializing than football for me. |
Quoted: saw the first SB in 1967 watched for the next 48 years in a row stopped watching the NFL and its SB in 2016 haven't watched another NFL game or SB in 8 years not a single game you? View Quote got you beat...i am 52. i have never seen a football game of any kind except HS in the 80's |
Over 10 years ago
It was in Baghdad, the DFAC had lots of food and allowed us to have 2 beers. It was the same the year prior. |
I have never watched any sporting event on TV nor had any desire to do so.
10 or 12 hours?
don't care a lot about the game but it's family and friends time |
Once the NFL embraced the BLM movement / woke agenda, I bailed.
So about 10 years since I’ve watched a NFL game. |
After the 1982 NFL strike.
Stopped watching all Pro Football then. Hell with them all. |
Have not watched any sportsball sense Dan Marino was QB for the Miami Dolphins. gotta be at least 15 years maybe longer.
sportsball! |
I've never watched a single super bowl. Don't think I sat through a single game even.
I find it pointless to watch others chase a ball across a field. I don't see the interest. All I see it as is an excuse for drinking and eating. I'd much rather do something else. |
Ever since the kneeling bullshit started whatever year that was. FNFL!
My dad would have sports on TV when I was a kid, he would be asleep and I'd change the channel prompting him to wake up and say he was watching that.
I'm 57 years old and have never watched a pro basketball, baseball, football game excepting my failed attempts to change the channel as a kid. Happily oblivious to sports, I am. |
Decades. I only saw part, got bored and started working on a gun that was jammed.
2012 or so. The kneelers sealed the deal for me I cut cable 3 years ago and made it permanent
I watched it each year from the first until maybe 10-12 years ago. I got bored with the sport even before the kneeling knuckleheads began their childish antics.
Once that crap began, I was really done. When the letter from all of the major sports leagues came out recently, against guns, I realized I didn't need any of it. Life is too short to help your enemies destroy you, and with your money. |
I haven't watched since they started kneeling and disrespecting this Nation. Fuck every one of them.

Checks watch:
About 12 hrs, give or take. I like to watch football. The same folks here that aren't interested or don't watch for political reason are free to be themselves. A lot ya'll probably spent the day jerking off to anime..... |
Never watched an entire football game in my life. I've been places where the Super Duper Sports Ball was on, so I've seen it in passing, but I've never sat down to watch it on purpose. I've seen some pro and semi-pro baseball and hockey. I go to those more for the vibe and the nachos than the games though.
I never watch it. As other stated. Not a fan of football, not a fan of sports im not participating in.
I've only watched two in 50 years.
The one last night (only because we had a dozen or so people over to Watch it and Chow Down) and one a few years ago when the wife and I started dating. She used to be a huge Green Bay fan. As an after thought I found it amusing that I would only go to the kitchen for food/drinks when the game was on. I did not want to miss any of the commercials. |
I just took a super bowel movement... that right there was a total 2 flusher
2 years ago cause the Bengals made it there.
I last witnessed that in 1989 as little kid, although I was alive for their first trip in1982 but a month old lol. But regular season, nope, stopped when the kneeling shit started. |
