Today, I join all those who loved him and all those touched by the civil rights movement he inspired in remembering the tragedy and injustice of his death.

To be fair public sentiment does not mirror that of the political class. Now that the artificial activists have long since disappeared, virtually every twitter comment is shitting on Floyd. He will never be the hero that the powers that be are trying so desperately hard to make him.

The Nation is still reeling from it, and I don't see an end in sight. I would argue that it was the worst manufactured crisis in US history. I hate "it's the x of y" statements, but in a way, it was the 9/11 of race relations. Billions of dollars in damages up front and a handful of deaths, but the demoralization of LEO combined with malicious policy changes have, and still are, causing extreme damage to businesses and human life.
