People are assholes.
We planned James birthday party for this Saturday based upon the mom of the one kid he wanted to come saying they were available. They confirmed 3 weeks ago they were coming. Today they texted that they've decided to stay an extra day on vacation instead. Maybe this will be a life lesson for James not to trust friends

Ever since becoming a maintenance manager it's been a crazy ride. I recently set a company milestone in DEI by finally hiring a female maintenance tech. Everything was going great for a while but one day I found her smoking pot behind the shop and I had to fire her.

There are industry standards on design conditions and software that calculates the heat loss.
