I know it's a PITA to put up with whiny kids, yet restaurants want the business and will let anyone in with kids or without.

Seems to me that if the owner advertises "Adult Entertainment," then <18 children will be automatically banned. The entertainment need be nothing more than a pack of nudie cards on each table, but it's 'Adult Entertainment' by the rules.

Keep a tablet nearby. Honestly let them look at the screen for the hour or whatever it is. Kids don't want to sit in a high class restaurant while the parents gorge themselves on steak and wine. They want chicken nuggies and milk

I hardly ever see children when i go out to eat.

Then again i dont eat at 5pm -- like a child and i go to places that dont have "kids" menus or hamburgers.  Not too many kids like the stuff i eat; Pave of Halibut and Hamachi Tartar.

You ride the moral character of society. So people don’t take screaming children to such places until the kids are ready.

In my state, you make it a bar so nobody under 21 is allowed to set foot in the place.

Having taken my kid to high class restaurants I’d say the way to keep them out is to encourage prices to be high. Nudie cards at each table won’t bring in the high class clients. It will bring in the trashy clients who get off looking at naked cards from the 90s as if they’re 13.

Technique I've seen from my uncle when we went to a family restaurant and there was a pair of screaming kids

"YOU KIDS SHUT UP! GET OUTTA HERE NOW!".

so sorry sir. So sorry

"GET OUT!"

That ended it. Kids left, family of kids left, basically everyone had a great time.

I’ve reached an age where I can’t deal with screaming kids and can afford to avoid places that allow them inside.

A local restaurant has a dedicated area of the restaurant that nobody with kids is seated.

When my oldest son was born we took him to our favorite steak house, and everyone stared at us. That was the last time we went to that place, and they later closed because of not enough business. The building stood empty for like 5 years, and they converted to hall to host banquets.

I remember a time when people didn't let their kids run around a restaurant like a little bastard.  We recently went to a local upscale pizza place and the people sitting near us gave their son a tablet with it blasting full fucking blast.  I locked eyes with the dad, gave him one of those "i'll skull fuck your wife, asshole" looks.  He quickly snatched the tablet from the kid and turned it off.

Seriously...  if it's truly "high class", there aren't children.  Even rich parents need a break from their brats from time to time.

I feel that your definition of a high class resturant and mine are different.  I would expect to pay at least $100 a person at high class.

Pretty much this. Remove the kids menu and have high prices. No parents going to pay $15 for their kids to eat a angus burger and have the kid complain because it’s under cooked.

High prices = keeping the poors out.

You're not paying for the food. You're paying for the atmosphere.

I had a relative who's dead now but he used to carry a handful of business cards for a local Cotillion classes place; he'd walk over and place one on the table with poorly behaved kids, say something to the effect of "I thought this may be of use to you" and go back to his seat.  Folks used to be pretty good about not bringing their ill behaved crotch fruit into nicer places and even in regular stores and restaurants they would keep them under control or take them outside but people have no pride in themselves or their children these days.

How do you keep them out? Simple, you don’t allow children in, it’s perfectly legal. You have the right to refuse service.

It’s not the children that are at fault, it’s the parents. If your kid is sketchy and cannot behave, don’t take them out to eat. If your kid has poor manners, you suck as a parent, don’t take them out to eat. If you kid is being loud or acting out and you can’t control them, take the kid outside, immediately.

We took my goddaughter out, she was well behaved. I misbehaved once, my Dad took me outside and locked me in the car, you could do that back then. I’ve never shown my ass in a restaurant since that night. He also beat my ass in the parking lot before locking me in the car, you could do that back then too.

Nudie pictures on the tables and a deck of Cards Against Humanity the dirty version. 18+.

I dont like screaming kids at places I am paying big dollars to whine and dine someone. Leave your brats at home.
