There is no appropriate answer there for me.  I usually do not drink during the week and will get drunk onw night per weekend, a little tipsy the other night.  Probably 14 drinks over the weekend.  I guess if you average this out, I fall in the 0-3 per day category.

I've gotten up to 5-10 per day and not very proud of it.  I'm quitting for a month, and ideally want to be where I can enjoy 1-3 drinks once or twice per week.

I don't go out and drink that often, but when I do, I pile 'em on. One night every 2-3 weeks usually. Sometimes I'll go a few nights in a week, depends on money and work schedule really. If I'm not drinking to get drunk, there is no point to it for me personally, I'd rather drink water, Gatorade, soda, tea, etc.

When I go out with the intention of having a good time, I'm typically 10-20 a night. One night I spent $50 on 95 cent beers and one mixed drink that was $5 and change. I did have about $20 worth of food earlier in the night, but still.

At my worst it was 4-6 a day and 12-18 on weekend nights. On some long Saturday nights I'd kill a case. I've cut back on it substantially. The last two months combined I've had maybe a twelve pack total.

I don't drink every day, probably 3-4 nights a week on average. But when I do it's usually just a bomber of Arrogant Bastard, or 1-2 vodka tonics, or maybe a glass of Scotch depending on what mood I'm in.

I usually have about 2 drinks 4 or 5 days per week (not even enough to get drunk, especially when it's the crappy Corona lights the woman gets), 1 or 2 days nothing, and one night (fri/sat) I'll drink quite a few.  Some weeks I'll drink a couple every night, other weeks I won't drink at all.

I don't get the proud accomplishment of depriving yourself of something you like.  Instead of 12er a day, maybe he could just drop down to 1 or two a day, some days maybe none.  Or maybe if he wants to get crazy on New Years Eve, he could have 3! If he has the self control to stop drinking completely, it shouldn't be a stretch to cut the drinking down.

Oh well, it's a "disease", guess it can't be anyone's fault.

The next time you're tempted to deliver a treatise on addiction, put on a clown suit and go down to the mall.

You won't look as stupid, and someone may find that entertaining.

I don't really drink.

Drank like a fish in college for social reasons.  Used to buy beer by the case and it was pretty typical that at a party I would drink 8-10 beers easy...hell sometimes more and rarely less.  Graduated college and didn't drink much at all and now I might have a single beer or mixed drink once every three or four months.  Never felt "addicted" to alcohol.  Drinking did help me relax in social situations and I'm certain giving alcohol to women helped them relax helping me get laid in college.    Met a few girlfriends in college drinking.  Drank a decent amount on my first date with my now wife.   Have nothing against alcohol just not a big fan of the taste really.  Never have enjoyed the taste of beer over non-alcoholic beverages.  Would rather have a glass of milk or soda than a beer.  My favorite alcoholic drink is a Jack and Coke.  Can't stand wine, but I'll drink White over Red and Sparkling over both if I must.

If I'm really stressed I just think about firearms, go do something I like to do, watch a movie or read a book.  Love it when I find a good book to read as it completely takes my mind off stressful situations when there is nothing I can do about them.

I completely quit in 2006 and haven't looked back.

I was a social drunk, partying and drinking too much 3-5 days a week.  I gained alot of weight which I have now lost.

I never got a DUI but it was causing me problems with the family.

I am glad I quit and recommend it to anyone who is having issues with alcohol.

There is not much good about alcohol.

I find it amazing how many people dont like the fact I dont drink anymore, when we are out, people keep asking me to drink, how can I be having fun sober, etc..   Today's society is really fucked up, everything fun seems to involve booze, at least in people's minds,

All week, pretty much zero. But today was my day to buy beer for the shop so I got a case and downed three at the barn. I like beer sometimes but I don't crave it, I am just as easily satisfied with a soda.

Ever since I started commuting via bus, there's suddenly an opportunity for a drink after work...

ETA: that works out to one per day on the weekdays, a beer on Saturday, and dry on sunday

I'm a 3-4 drink a month type for the most part, but the last few weeks I've been boozin it up pretty hard.  Wife's away tonight and I might finish off a bit of vodka so it doesn't go stale.

I've never been a habitual drinker and I'm grateful for that.

Some days I drink some, some days I don't.  Rarely if ever am I drunk outside of my house, only buzzed.

I've never really been one to drink a lot.  I mostly just drink a beer and get relaxed and that's it.

I've been averaging roughly 12 drinks a week...
Which was a substantial cut from my old habit of 5-6 per day.
I'm aiming for 12 drinks per month.

I work nights, so it isn't odd to have a beer or scotch with breakfast at 0600hrs after work.

I'm at 4 drinks for this year thus far. That's 2 fruity rum concoctions on vacation #1, and 2 Shiner Bocks on vacation #2.

Last year I probably made it to 16-18 beers for the year. This year I live in a dry county, so there's no beer after a hot day at work for me.

I've had maybe two or three drinks this year.  It doesn't cross my mind often.  I keep a bottle of Jameson, in case I feel like having some.  I'm not big on beer.  I used to drink a lot, in my 20's.  I guess it lost its novelty.

I used to in my immature youth, but then I figured out that it was really expensive and I really wasn't doing anything that was in the least bit productive.
