Latest Euro shows bumps west but a pressure system could keep this thing in open water. Mid Atlantic states could be in play.

Quoted: CAT 4 is much worse than rain and wind. It literally destroys lives. It looks like it'll stay in the Atlantic for now, but then again so did Irma and the initial forecast looked eerily close to this one. View Quote Definitely one to watch. This thing has so much warm water ahead of it. Going to me much wider than Idalia. |

Quoted: RAIN!! WIND!!!! OMG!!!! View Quote Attached File This was Idalia in our yard. Last week about 60 mph and five inches of rain |

There was a Tropical Storm Lee in 2011 that caused a ton of flooding across the eastern US. This one can get fucked.

Quoted: Yup. Sucks for Bermuda but they get hit with all storms. I will be ok here in S FloridA View Quote |

Quoted: RAIN!! WIND!!!! OMG!!!! View Quote Tell us you don't understand the difference between a Tropical Storm and a CAT4 Hurricane without telling us you don't understand the difference between a Tropical storm and a CAT4 Hurricane. To put in perspective how incredibly stupid what you just said was: It's like telling someone in the path of a tidal wave that they "might feel a little bit of moisture in a minute". |
|
Quoted: It is how they get their drinking water. The majority of their fresh water is rainwater collected through the runoff from roofs and stored in underground cisterns. Hurricanes and Tropical Storms are good things for 'em. View Quote @Miami_JBT Well... so long as the hurricane isn't too strong and doesn't hit them square on. |

Quoted: just another fish storm. View Quote Wait what? |

A lot of flash flooding damage from both of them. Question is; can these weather alarmist twats not even come with new names? Lee was a significant storm and only 12 years ago, are there no other “L” names left?? |

Nothing burger for the east coast. Toward late September is when I’ll get concerned for South Carolina

The storm doesn't look like it's going to get into the Gulf of Mexico.

Stay a TS and nose in around the northeast.

Quoted: Moving WNW. These models looking more like it could impact the coast at some point. https://i.postimg.cc/MpCHzBZ5/IMG-3715.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/QC1Wrq1p/IMG-3714.jpg View Quote Don't get hung up on the short range models, look at the longer range one's. Many models predict a turn to the north, or north east. The timing is, if that happens and when. There are many factors that can influence this storm and its too early to predict with any certainty if it will be pulled into the east coast or the north east. Keeping an eye on this big mofo. |

By Sunday, we should know if this will impact the Eastern U.S.

Quoted: The Euro model, last I checked at Tropicaltidbits, has it kicking up to 925 central pressure in parts. And motoring right for Bermuda. It'll be a biggun' Hope it stays a fish storm. View Quote Let's hope so. The last time I was there, Bermuda was hoping for a big hurricane. Those are the only natural source of fresh water on the island. The houses are hurricane proof with cisterns to catch the rain. |

I love how people call it a fish storm but it looks like it could make a direct hit on Bermuda. I'm pretty sure humans live there too.

While I understand people get tired of those that use weather events as a means to pass their agenda, I think it is still better to know about the possibility of a significant hurricane forming than not.
It's better to be prepared and anticipate a bad storm than to brush it off and be underprepared if it does make landfall in the US. |
