Hutch bounced between a 4" and 6" Python.  Probably influenced my first Python purchase circa 1984.  Wished I still had it.  Soul used a 4" Python to nearly out shoot Clint and his S&W 29 in Magnum Force.

I was going to post that same clip. The whole made-for-TV movie is up on YT.  It was from the In the Line of Duty series.

Passage: Remembering David Soul and Glynis Johns

"Sunday Morning" remembers some of the notable figures who left us this week, including "Starsky and Hutch" star David Soul; and stage and screen star Glynis Johns, best known for the Disney classic "Mary Poppins."

Starsky and Hutch was on when I was just a little kid, so while it's possible I saw some of the show during its run, I don't remember any of it. Well, I just watched the pilot episode (2 hour TV movie) and I have to say that was pretty damn good. The story was very well put together and David's and Paul's acting was really good, especially David's. The guy clearly had "presence."

My local used record store has a David Soul album in the $2.99 rack. I get a chuckle every time I flip past it. So 1980s . . . I bet is sucks big time.
