Friend in high school had a 62 Rambler wagon. Robins Egg blue.

Yeah, we were cool.

Good luck getting an RS6 or E63s. The Mercedes with v8 were absent for a year during Covid, and only came back to be discontinued. Think only 1 was allocated to Florida if that tells you anything.

The RS6 is harder to come by than the RS7 that took 18 months for my order to come in. At least the v8 Audis are still in production beyond 23.

Searching https://www.cargurus.com/ for station wagons was pretty slim. Even slimmer if you were looking for a manual.

I love wagons and have owned a number of them from from old Chevrolets to newer BMWs. Hell they are the OG suvs.

My outback has been great. Coming from a full sized trucks I'm amazed at the versatility of it. It's taken me everywhere I wanted to go comfortably and with a trailer i can move just about anything I need to. Unless I need to haul something heavy it fits the bill.

In this pic it's on the stock all seasons.

Triumph got a hole in the oil pan.

Purchased a 06 Ford Focus wagon and has been my daily driver for the past two years. Super handy little wagon. Hauls everything...lots of room. 31mpg highway. A new set of tires cost $260 out the door. Looks just like this one....

I had a yellow ‘69 Dodge Coronet wagon with a towing package which included a 440 with a six barrel carb. That thing blew shit off the road. Guy’s jaws would drop as you waved bye bye.

I like wagons and want one. Saw a Roadmaster for sale and was tempted. I'd love a turbo Outback but like most stuff I like a bit out of my projected price range.

I grew up in the back of a station wagon as well. Parents had a 1966 Galaxie wagon.

Found this 1969 Fairlane wagon in 1999 and bought it cheap. I was the 2nd owner.

Swapped the 302 for a warmed over 351C I built with Aussie 2V heads.

Bad stuff happened in my life - so I let her go.

Made my friend Jeff a deal he couldn't refuse. He's taking good care of her. You can watch his youtube Autorestomod channel and see her in episodes there.

I spent my childhood in a 65 fury III wagon and have excellent memories. Played all over the back seat and the "back of the back", no seat belt

Our town and country is way better in every category. You sit up like a pickup, with babies and small kids the sliding doors are awesome, power everything, 27 mpg, lots more cubic feet and storage

Not a very good video

Missed the key station wagon era - late 60's through late 1970's. Chrysler, Plymouth, numerous GM vehicles..

Big block engines, terrible quality, feedback carbs, rusting so bad you could hear at night.. Plymouth Volare from late 70's..

Very little spent on the ultimate B-body station wagon, Buick Roadmaster/Caprice with the Vette LT1 engine.

My cousins had a station wagon like that. They called it something, could have been the dragon wagon. There was 7 or 8 of them piling out of that wagon. You from northern Ohio?

My first car was a used 75 Firebird purchased in 1980 when I was 15.

Once I started driving, a year later, whenever I wanted to take a large group of my friends anywhere I would borrow my mother's Plymouth Station Wagon.

I could get 7 or 8 of us in there. We used it to go see the premiere of "Return of the Jedi" at the end of our Senior year in high school and a couple of other small adventures.

My brother was looking for a 68-69 Chevelle when we were in High school. 1980’s. We couldn’t find one he could afford. But my buddies dad had given me their old family wagon. A ‘68 Chevelle wagon with a 307 that had gone almost 200k. It had some cancer all along the rear quarters, but it was complete. So I said “Hey why don’t we make you a dragon wagon?” A little talking and we found a 396 to replace the 307 and he was in! I don’t remember what rims we put on the front but the back had steel slots with the old L 50’s if I remember right. I wish I had that thing now.

My brother drives a souped-up 96' Chevy Caprice wagon. It's fucking bad-ass and gets so many compliments. If I drive it somewhere, there's a 50% chance I'm getting a compliment along the way.

When I was a kid mom had a Plymouth station wagon, can't remember the model or year, it has the batmobile wings and rear facing seat. We moved from Pa to ft Lauderdale after I got out of 5th grade, I sat all the way in that seat, I was carsick the first day.

Then we had another one after that, it was smaller and less embarrassing to me, again, I can't remember the model. Nova? Comet?

My second car, (this time I was in HS and we lived in Alabama) was a Plymouth belvedere station wagon. My first was a nash rambler but it died. I wasn't the coolest ride and was uglier than homemade sin but looking back me and my friends had a blast. It was 3 on the tree. I had never driven a stick, it took me an hour or so to get home, by that time I was a pro.

I could kick myself for not taking more pics of those times of my life. Enjoy the little things, because someday you will realize they were the big things.

It was a falcon!!!!! The second station wagon in Florida was a Ford falcon station wagon! It didn't have batmobile wings which were embarrassing then but now I think they were so cool.

Besides the station wagons we had some other cars with batmobile wings, I remember the Plymouth fury, it wasn't a station wagon though.

beware

The factory recommended dealership service included adding "sealant tablets" to the cooling system which frequently stopped up the heater cores.

That means no heat, no defrost.

I had to splice in a water hose hookup to backflush mine no matter how many times I drained the coolant and flushed the system.

Otherwise, it's a turnpike limo.
