How the hell do you know which cup to use?

Well, it says the name on the side for one thing

Used to live in Belgium, about ten minutes from the Monastery/Brewery in Rochefort, and visited the Monasteries that made Chimay and Orval as well.

Rochefort 8 is the best beer in the world; I still have the glasses for it for when I pick some up from time to time.

Oh, and, paging @tootall

ETA dammit missed a page ownage.

Belgians = best beer.

If you're in a pinch, Fat Tire makes a bottle conditioned Tripel that is carried by a lot of the big grocery stores and gas station chains.  I mean, you're not going to find Delirium or St Bernardus at the CVS, but you might find the Fat Tire...like I said, in a pinch.

Based on the OP, I was expecting something along those lines.

you'd think they'd call it monk ale but I guess that would be too easy

I have to say the St Bernardus was great, but the spencer monks reserve and the Chimay grande reserve were Outstanding!

Credit where it’s due

Not something I would ever buy but was gifted a 4 pack of it. Its easily the best tasting beer I’ve ever had. Apparently there’s only one place in the USA with monks that brew this type of beer here.

Delicious.

More descriptive terms?  Nutty?  Chocolatey?  Fruity?  Hoppy?  Need more details.

I'm actually not familiar with the "trappist" term.

Any Unibroue fans?  I can't seem to find it locally anymore without traveling into the warzones of Minneapolis or St. Cloud.

La Fin Du Monde is one of my favorites. Their limited run of Ale Gâteau Forêt-Noire (Black Forest Cake) was amazing.
