Quoted: Quoted: Another one I thought of. Remember. Old man runs away from his nursing home to hubt down the Nazi who ran the prison camp he was in. That was really good! I've had movies surprise me, but that was the first to actually stun me. |

Quoted: Matrix when he woke up as a battery for the machines. Blew my mind, immediately bought another ticket and watched the next showing Rogue one was amazed that everyone died View Quote They do that in everything now because they don't have to pay people more money to be in the next movie. There was no reason to kill everyone in Rogue One. |

The end of The Book Of Eli.
Finished it while sitting at my computer. Said “Huh” and stared at the black screen for half an hour, then went to bed. A friend of mine has a similar reaction when we watched the movie in a group setting a few years later. |

Quoted: I am a leaf on the wind. I can’t believe no one has brought up the whole harpoon through a wash scene in serenity yet View Quote I'm glad I was at home the first time I watched Serenity. I screamed no so loud and in such an anguished way that my neighbor, who I'd never met, came over and knocked on my door to see if everything was all right. |

Qui-Gon dying in Phantom Menace really made me sad and annoyed.

Quoted: In this particular case, the surprise was when the credits start rolling. Seagal was out so early in, the whole rest of the movie, I was expecting some kind of miraculous survival/comeback to save the day, typical Hollywood stuff. The credits started rolling and we went, "Wow... they really DID kill him off that early...." View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Deep Blue Sea, when the shark eats Samuel L. Jackson while he's giving his speech. Friend and I were watching it for the first time, he said, "man wouldn't it be funny if the shark came up out of the pool and ate him right now," 3 seconds later CHOMP! We about pissed ourselves laughing. Same with Seagal in Executive Decision In this particular case, the surprise was when the credits start rolling. Seagal was out so early in, the whole rest of the movie, I was expecting some kind of miraculous survival/comeback to save the day, typical Hollywood stuff. The credits started rolling and we went, "Wow... they really DID kill him off that early...." I laughed for 5 minutes straight when that happened. I was so glad the rest of the movie would be proceeding without him. |

When Travis is about to shoot Old Yeller, Old Yeller transforms in to a Decepticon and escapes. Did not see that coming.

Last few minutes of " Once upon a time in Hollywood" where the hippies came in to kill them
Is it wrong that I laughed my ass off uncontrollably? |

An old one but Body Heat with Kathleen Turner when she was still really hot. It's the first movie I recall where the criminal walks away at the end of the film as the winner, totally successful in her setup of a fall guy and the execution of her crimes.

This is a tame one, but as a kid watching The Great Escape the first time, when the truck stops so the prisoners can "stretch their legs for five minutes," and they all get machinegunned.

Quoted: The ending of Old Henry. If you haven't seen it yet, you need to. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BYzg4ZDM0OWYtYzdjNS00N2ExLWEyZmEtOWQ3OGUyZjQwYWVkXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNTEyODI3NTk@._V1_.jpg View Quote I'm not a fan of Trace Adkins as an actor, he seems to always be playing the same character in every movie. The rest of Old Henry however, was good. The ending was awesome. |

Quoted: Vader is a misspelled Vater-German for father. They'd been telling you from the start. View Quote This one was a coincidence. Check out This Forbes article for the explanation and evolving origin of that plot line. Vader and Luke's father were seperate characters in A New Hope and the original draft of The Empire Strikes Back, but just like everything Lucas does he takes it back later and retcons, or in the ESB script case pre-release retcons, his own work over and over. Part of me is happy someone else is at the helm of the franchise now, but is disappointed it's Disney. - Nw - |
