Thinking about buying alien green lancers. Yes/no? |

Quoted: Didnt know that was a thing not surprised that it was, but didnt know. When was that? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Not much different than the horrible stigma attached (for decades) to mothers who chose to breastfeed over usin formula. Characterized as dirty, uneducated poors and science deniers who refused to do what was best and right for their babies because of some stupid hippy nonsense. Didn’t trust that science could make a superior baby food than dirty old nature. Didnt know that was a thing not surprised that it was, but didnt know. When was that? The 50s all the way up through the late 80s/early 90s. |

Quoted: I didn't lose anything except for about 5 years. That's good and bad. I didn't have a house forclosed on, or lose a massive amount of money in retirement accounts. But the earliest I can retire is going to be later. I'll still be feeling the effects of it 40+ years later. View Quote I lost my job around 2009, luckily didnt have a house at that point. Once I had a new job and a bit of money saved up I was able to buy a house cheap, so that was nice. |

If we had, we would have lost the house. |

Quoted: Huh Must still be folk buying into that, hence the freakout over the formula shortage View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: The 50s all the way up through the late 80s/early 90s. Huh Must still be folk buying into that, hence the freakout over the formula shortage A very large percentage of women still default to formula even if they try breastfeeding for the first 2-3 weeks. It hurts, you have to buy special bras and clothes, people are shitty to you in public, and a lot of women are convinced they don’t make enough. And blacks almost exclusively do the formula thing. Hospitals even push it with free formula kits given out like party favors when you have a baby. I think I got 6 big ol cans with each kid even though I specifically stated I didn’t want them. It’s not even pushed as better anymore. Just easier and more convenient. And women who breastfeed in public are often characterized as low class attention whores, sometimes even asked to leave or go to a bathroom to feed their babies. It’s pretty shitty, all things considered. |
