It can't be denied that the situation is extremely unstable across the globe, and has been for a long time. We're just seeing that instability come to a head with all the compounding factors over the past decade or so (great recession, china, russia, loose monetary policy, covid, etc.). China looks strong from the outside, but they're probably about to go full Ming and implode when the peasants from the interior get tired of being shit on by the costal elites (sound familiar?). US woke culture bullshit is pissing a lot of people off that have basically been apathetic, mixed with the BLM and Antifa bullshit.

All it's going to take is one sufficiently hot spark for things to go kinetic. And it'll happen overnight.

I would not rely on fb and other social media as a barometer.  They have become sounding boards for a very vocal minority.  I stay away from such places out of fear of being doxed.  I am sure that I have plenty of company in avoiding such places.

I will answer your question, but let me just address some of the other posts in this thread. The notion that some of you think this is resolved with violence is foolish. Violence will crate more death, more sorrow, more hatred, more division, more losses, more destruction, more pain. There is no solution. After everything said and done, even if you are victoriious, you have lost all. Your old way of life, your family, your friends, your trust, all lost. For what? Nothing. The answer is that you really just don't get to this point in the first place. Anything done at this point is just going to slow things down.

It's been building for a while and some people see it, but when it does kick off the quickness will catch most folks by surprise.  One of the common things you see in interviews with civilians and even politicians and military people who made it through the various conflicts is that they knew things were getting bad but they didn't realize how bad and that they were almost all surprised how quickly the collapse occurred and how fast violence erupted amongst people who had previously gotten along, even if tersely.

Destabilizing China and letting them devolve onto internal conflict would probably be a best case scenario for the rest of the world, as long as they weren't able to stage some sort of false flag and rally their people against an outside agent (a very common tactic, especially with commies; see also Hugo Chavez).  That would require world leaders who weren't owned by the Chinese though.

There is no evidence (or expectation) that large multinationals have ANY LOYALTY to this government or country.  They control almost every aspect of communication except for the local FTF.

I disagree with your perspective on the future.  A small minority has to be willing to be completely committed.  That level of commitment is very slow and hard to come by.  The longer it takes for it to percolate the stronger and more dangerous it is.  And it's been on a steady percolation for 12 years with the last 5 being ratcheted up a significant amount.  As people lose their hope in a 'normal' life, they completely give themselves over to a cause, and family men give themselves over to the cause of a better life for their children.

Yes, it requires blood, violence and further division.  And the utter destruction of one side or the other, they are fundamentally incompatible.

Just on top of my head few items I can think of from memory for starters.

What you will need now is some land that you own. Pay off your mortgage if you can. Save the rest. You will know when to dump money. Have solids. Gold, silver, etc..
Reliable transportation capable of off road.
Get in shape, and learn how to survive in cold. Sleep outside for a night. Take a ice cold shower once a week. I hope you know how to swim.
Lots of ammo and a few guns, knives, and basic maintenance items for tools you have. Please get a long distance rifle with a nice scope, and quality binocluars/range finder. Those of you with fancy NVG, etc.. you're better off than most.
Guns can be traded. Guns that you may not need or like, or cheap guns such as hipoints and Taurus pistols will be worth trading towards other stuff if you need to. Not everyone has guns, but everyone will need them
Water, and gasoline and lubricants. Stack vegetable oils and things that can act as fuel. Grease. Whatever it may be.
Sandbags will stop lots of bullets, and even mortars if properly stacked. Dig deep. Make bunkers, and hidden rooms.
Buy longterm storage foods, and anything you can possibly get your hands on.
Bandages, and antibacterial liquids. First aid kits. Medication you need for at least 1 year.
Alcohol and Cigarettes will be valuable. It calms the nerves and acts as a disinfectant
Toilet paper will not save you. It's going to be a luxury item.
Books. Do not rely on technology. Start reading books on survival. On how to raise crops, and vegetables, and repair cars, or have knowledge about basic carpentry.
Keep tools near you. Wood. Think carpentry.
Chickens, and seeds. You better learn how to be a farmer.
Have a dog that can obey. Kill it if you can't control your dog. It will cost you your life.
Children or babies? Get baby diapers, etc... No children? You may have some, so get it anyways.
Vitamins, medication.
Make sure you designate the smartest most resilient person as person in charge. Do everything that person says. Obey chain of command. You will all need to be on the same page.
Get connected with like minded people. Build bonds and understanding with as many people you trust as possible.
Radios, and two way walkie talkie. Flashlights!
Batteries and candles! Batteries and candles!
Watersafe or repellant items, such as watches, tents, or rainjackets. Storage.
Mirrors. You never know when you have to peek around corners.
Ropes! I don't need to mention that ropes can have so many uses.
Maps and Compass! Did I even have to mention this?
Help to live in mountains, or near rivers, and creeks. Yes, there is truth that hillbillies will likely fare better due to independence.
Stay away from Cities. Especially ones that have have bridges.
