thing that sketches me out is knowing if you are in a fight you are going to want to go for gun and get on target/pull trigger as soon as possible.
things don't necessarily go in order in real life. seems like bad combo. next thing you know you've texgrebnered your femoral. |

This is the millionth AIWB thread, and we have become exceedingly efficient at it.
We've got it pared down to like, 4 or 5 responses. |

YOU GUYS REALIZE AIWB means there's a friggin holster or do you just think you can stick your glock in your fucking waistband? |

The ex is an RN. She was on med-surg floor once and a guy on her floor was in for wounds after a "mexican carry" mishap.
The guy was an owner of a local black club and was drawing a .38 on a patron who was coming at him with a knife. POW on draw. Did not hit the boys or femoral, but did damage other structures like pelvic bone, bladder, circ, rectum and lymph. She said the man's cod sack looked like an eggplant and the doctor was concerned the patient might lose his junk from circulation damage and edema. I've always carried 4:00. |

I've been carrying A IWB for 2200+ days straight...
Never even close to an issue. Just don't pull the fuckin' trigger... |
|
Not a fan. There are a few days a month when I have to dress nicer than a Cholo so it doesn't work for me. You can't have a carry system where you carry the gun in more than one place.
|
|
Accidents happen.
I'd prefer to shoot my butt off. I know James Yeager fans will disagree, but then, so will his detractors. |
|
|
If you have a 3"ish barrel and the pistol sits a little higher than your average IWB holster you can easily sit down/drive without it digging into your junk.

I never will understand how people can sit while carrying appendix. Like, when you're seated, is the weapon vertical? Does it require mom-jeans or something? View Quote There's a sweet spot where AIWB is comfortable when sitting, 1/2" either way and it doesn't work for me. A Wilderness belt makes a big difference. I've carried AIWB for many years now, using an M&P Compact, Beretta PX4 Compact, SIG SP2022, SIG P250 Compact & SIG P320 Compact. Striker-fired P320 & M&P were always in a kydex holster to help avoid ND's, the others w/their DA/SA or DAO triggers carry well in a Remora soft holster. |

Can't do it. Femoral artery strike is curtains within a minute or two. Removed testicles and weiners are hard to replace. Any real life examples where an appendix carry has blown a cock off? Carried AIWB for years and liked it for many reasons, but there is no denying that you're violating one of the four cardinal rules of gun safety by pointing it at something you don't want to shoot. |

So when you guys sit down is the gun vertical or horizontal?
Do you wear your pants high, medium, or low? Loose fit or nut huggers? I love carrying this way when standing, but when seated I'm getting stabbed in the belly. 5' 11" 157lb Glock 23 I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks |

I was happy as a clam with a IWB at 1:30 to 2 o'clock. Comfortable, easy to access in a wide range of situations, etc.
Then I had a hernia. Now everything IWB hurts especially directly, over the scar when my holster used to ride. |
|
The holster makes the difference
I have a incog shadow with G19 that carries like a dream. however I have a regular incog with shield that jabs my stomach hard. Alot has to do with ride height even with a smaller pistol. Cant seem to get the shield to ride right so I opt for the bigger G19 |

Thanks View Quote I wear my pants normal now (not on my hips) and I position the gun high enough to get a full grip. I use zero can't and place the gun around 12:30-1. I'll also wear an undershirt to help the gun move around easier when I'm bending or moving. Oh I also got a good gun belt and increased my waste size by 1-2. With the right setup a guy like you can carry all day with out even knowing. Oh an I'm currently using an incog holster. I did not change my t shirt size and I wear my shirts on the snug size rather than loose. At work I'm bending past 90* constantly. I only have two issues one my warren tactical sights digs into my skin so I'm going to try a 10-8 rear now it's go reverse slant so it it a sharp edge digging into me. My other issue is sometimes the butt of the gun pokes outward. It's not a big issue because it's not way out. But thanks to this thread I'm looking into it. |

I carry a CZ P-01 in a Stealth Gear AIWB holster and it's the most comfortable way for me to carry.
I've been carrying pistols for over 30 years and AIWB is the best way I have ever carried, It's even more comfortable then OWB. |

I only carry 1% of the time but when I do the G19 sits nicely in it's Incog holster right there @ 1215.

Have y'all seen the stuff offered from Dene Adams? I just saw it on Facebook for the first time this morning. For those that aren't familiar, Dene Adams makes belly bands and spandex leggings for women that have built in "holsters". His page is Dene Adams Official. Anyway, he has a sexy ass redhead in some videos showing off their products. The leggings are thigh length and meant to worn under a dress or skirt. The holster is inside her thigh. In one video she chambers a 1911 and stuffs it in there on her inner thigh without ever engaging the thumb safety. I cringed and turned my head, expecting to see her blow he thigh off.

1) Mexican carry sucks...no I don't have a gut.
2) I like my dick....and my femoral artery. 3) if I gotta take it off to drive, I'm not wearing it. Even a G43 is uncomfortable for all. It the shortest of trips in the car. 4). I don't spank it to Range Time with Cory the over dramatic AIWB proponent. |

I've tried it. Not comfortable for me (bulges a lot).

At 6', 160lbs it's the only way I can truly coneal. Every other carry prints badly. I carry my Shield (safety on) like that. Everything else gets carried OWB or at 4 o'clock IWB if I'm wearing a jacket.
