Opening song, I'm struggling not to laugh. I've never seen this, but the premise seems so corny...
Here we go. ETA, liked it. |

Sneer all you want at our cheesy action flicks, crappy cars and odd clothes and hair, by missing out in the 80s you missed the best time to be alive in America.

There can only be one.
And stop watching Highlander movies here.
|
|
"There can be only one" means don't watch the sequels, they suck.
|
|
So far there are going to be some pissed off WWF fans when they get back to their cars.

I was born in 80, and 80s movies are great. It's nice to see action sequences that don't require levitation and cgi. Cheese is good. I just don't get sword people and their kilts and dragon knives. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Sean Connery shows up lulz
Also, bad guy is that one guy from the green mile. And I think I saw a Viking from 13th warrior somewhere in here

That is Juan Sanchez Villalobos Ramirez, chief metallurgist to the king of Spain.
So basically you have a Scot playing an Egyptian who works for the king of Spain. Or at least I think I have that correct. And Christopher Lambert is a French man playing a Scot. |

There were no sequels, because there could be only one.
The Kurgan was a great villian. He really enjoyed being evil. I mean, what's the point if you're going to be all emo and moody about it like almost all other bad guys are? |

Lambert's father was a diplomat at the UN. I did not know that. It's such a shame the second one sucked so bad. |

Agree with the majority original movie good, series good, sequels God awful!
|

The TV series is pretty enjoyable, I watched it all a couple years back.
|
|
It's better than alot of the horseshit on now, at least it was an original idea/concept for a show.

The series was the best. I never did care for Christopher Lambert in the movies. Adrian Paul was MUCH better for the role. Most of the soundtracks are done by Queen. In fact their album titled "its a kind of magic" has the highlander songs on it. "Who wants to live forever" is a BADASS song btw.
