It's very similar to how some propaganda models work. 1) set up fake media outlet and pushing a soft unsourced story that X might be true. 2) get operative or useful idiot at real but minor media outlet to publish story that X might be true, citing the story from step 1 as a source 3) repeat step 2 several times, citing each other as much as possible. Also remove any soft wording or ambiguity. 4) use useful idiots and bots on social media to hype 'X is true!!!' citing all the fluffed up articles. 5) MSM picks up on the story because of social media hype and their desperation for clicks / revenue 6) the government that set the whole thing up now officially claims 'X is true!' and cites MSM stories on it. few people ever question it or bother because digging through the history is too much work. |
