Can't seem to find the thread, but I believe there was a guy here that welded scrap metal together to make some kick ass looking gun sculptures.
ETA: Found it. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1705216__ARCHIVED_THREAD____I_make_scrap_metal_AR_15s.html&page=1 |

I kind of agree with the concept of some older rifles or shotguns or whatever with some of the monster bayonets.
I would consider it a place to display some stuff that might not wind up getting safe space due to lower value or if in safe would wind up stuck in the back and the bayonet tucked away somewhere else. Amazon has been clearing out some large pics of odds and ends, not really gun related but one huge one was american flag related. Had the oldish look to it as I recall. And if that does not work, biggest dart board ever but used for throwing knives. Might want a shelf at the bottom to catch errors. And playing on youtube I would recomend a wax bullet target setup if you have some awesome ventilation. |

I'd just put up stuff that's meaningful. If I had a room of my own, I'd hang the following:
a faded VS17 panel covered in sharpie dicks and sarcasm. an LP of "America, Why I Love Her" (John Wayne spoken word album), probably in a nice frame an old map of Mosul I used. photos of my father and grandfather, WWII, Korea, Viet Nam... like that. and... the DCU top that was cut off of me and re-sewn after I was wounded the first time. It'd be a big frame, but I would frame it. I used to have a really nice framed photo of an explosion I set up, but I donated it to a cigar lounge. Lost the negatives. If you ever want to see it, it's in the smoking lounge area of Churchill's in Topeka, off Huntoon. |
