The fucking government ruins everything.  Please recommend a gas can that I can use without feeling the uncontrollable urge to kill every time I use it.

I've got some Eagle cans and some of these no spill cans.

No Spill

The nos pill are great for small engines (chainsaws, weedeaters, etc)

The no spill brand are def good to go. And dare I say, I would rather use the no spill spout over old school style.
I've also got VP racing cans that I love too

20L NATO metal cans made by Wavian or Valpro AND the flexible metal spout (called a Donkey D@ck?). Recommend red if the public gets to see them. Any other color if the public will not see them. British Atlantic had a great deal recently and I picked up 2ea 4 packs for about $160ea. Normal price is about $80ea. If you are not into the metal cans, then you can get a replacement spout kit on Amazon that comes with a better nozzle and a breather hole deal that you can add to the 5 gal plastic crappy cans. TT

You can use an ice pick or punch and hammer and put a hole in the top of the plastic can for a vent and use a golf tee to block it closed for transporting.

Here you go.  I buy the shitty cans like you do and replace the spouts with one of these kits.

It’s as easy as unscrewing the government fuck up and screwing on the replacement spout.

This.

No-spill for smaller (1~2 1/2 gallon) sizes. I'm not as fond of them for 5 gallons.

Midwest or Scepter 5 gallon plastic can with EZ-pour spout and vent is the same as the old school cans.

I've switched over to the VP jugs...only thing that is a pain is when the jug is full and you only need a little bit for the lawn mower or something like that..I have a few 1&2 gallon jugs for the chainsaw and weed whip that I scored at the local pawn shop...rummage sales are good ways to get "preban" cans as well.

No Spill for small quantities, not so much if you need to dump a couple 5 gallon cans at a time, a little slow for that. If you’re doing smaller amounts like filling an atv once a month, they are fine.

I have the 1 gallon size for my lawnmower. If I'm ever going to be somewhere there is 93 octane non ethanol I'm going to get a 2.5 gallon size for my two strokes.

I have an old can of the same design, maybe 30-40 years old. Don't know the brand but it still works great.

Do you own any gas cans made since the gooberment mandated they meet certain restrictions, such as you gotta put your left foot in, take your left foot out, then shake it  all about to get the gas to trickle out of the can while dumping 87% of it on the ground?

If you’re asking then you don’t know. I’m buying that ez pour to retrofit mine. The stupid twist nozzle broke on mine and then not having a vent sucks too.

British Atlantic was running a 10% off for new buyers recently, I got a 4 pack of cans, gaskets, and donkey dick for about 220 iirc. It may still be offered, I only got mine a couple weeks ago.

The only gas can I ever owned I took with me when I moved from home, so it was a little red plastic 1 gal can  my dad bought probably in the 80's.

Rural King "utility jugs" FTW. $19.95 each and nicer than the name brands.

I have 2 red and 2 yellow, far nicer than VP.

Hence the confusion. New typical cans don't have vents and therefore don't really work.

Search on Amazon (or your prefered online vendor since we now hate amazon) for Sceptre 2.5 gallon cans and EZ-Pour spouts (that come with vents).

5 minutes of time and you can have brand new, vented cans like they used to make.
