So on Thursday after work it was such a nice day in my AO my friend and I headed out on the newly fixed bike trail for a ride to a small town called Roca. The bar owner that owns this bar is very appreciative of bike riders because of the business the bring him. To the point when the trail got washed out by flooding he offered to fix it. Anyways we get to Roca and wander in the bar and what do I see on tap???
I love milk stouts. I will say that this one is an excellent example of one. I think a lot of them are too heavy handed on the the dark malt and never have enough lactose. I will say it is second only to my favorite milk stout of all time which is Mackeson Triple XXX stout. I will have to stop by and grab a couple crowlers. Sorry for the potato picture it was dark in the bar and had to zoom in with my cell phone. |

A bit off topic, but I recall you mentioning you can't ship out of state. Is that due to state regulations on sales, or some quirky fed law regarding out of state sales? Yeah, the big guys have national distribution, but others like New Glarus can only sell in WI and bars out of state have gotten fined for selling NG products. |
