29, single, no kids, socially awkward as fuck
Want to move from Charlotte to Chicago. CoL seems better and it's the most gun friendly out of all major cities. May also look into Seattle. |

Know how we can tell you haven't been paying attention? FPNI this is either a joke, tarded, or a joke. Man I live in Charlotte and let me tell you, one of the last places you want to be is inside some huge city when SHTF. looks at the minor riots for an example of that. |

Chicago could use another (redacted) to replace all the ones that have killed each other this year... go ahead.

Only move to Seattle if you have a good job lined up in the tech industry or something of that sort.
Local economy is booming, cost of living is only rising, and we have ok gun laws for the moment. Expect to see some bull shit gun laws on the ballot next year. Politically Seattle is a shit show. So, unless you are ready for all of that .... |

Was not expecting Chicago to be an option when opening thread...

Louisville, KY
Or Nashville, TN Only two cities I would consider. I love both |

If you want to go to Chicago because of how gun-friendly it is, I suggest you go whole-hog and move on across the pond to London, England.

Move to. In no actual order.
Phoenix, Tucson, Las Cruces, or......Flagstaff. All college towns. You will be welcome and probably find a girl who can out shoot you. |

View Quote how about somewhere near a beach and not in the middle of the freaking desert ? (I'm looking too... was seriously contemplating Thailand, but I understand it's not the great place it used to be, thanks to expats (from all over the world), in addition to the 'tourists'..~ |

Chicago is about as gun-unfriendly as it gets. It's a nice city to dart in, do something (concert, sporting event, museum, dinner), and then gtfo. As someone who has lived on the fringe of the shitty for my entire life, I would never, ever want to live there. The collar counties are ok though, specifically DuPage.
There are a decent amount of jobs (best bet is to live in a collar county and take the metra) and tons of hot women in the city, but many won't date you unless you're a city resident yourself. Plus, they're going to be 90%+ liberals. Ugh! Choose wisely! |

View Quote Reminds me of a military story I read years ago... True or not, I don't care, it's still fucking funny and I can see it happening A service member was a total f—up, to put it gently. Couldn’t be on time, couldn’t show up dressed to standards, constantly forgot professional courtesies, so on. When he was on his last straw, his squad leader pulled him aside and more or less started yelling, then stopped himself. “No. You know what? I’m done yelling at you. It doesn’t work. Stay right here; don’t go anywhere.” He stormed off into the company building. The phrase, “stay right here, don’t go anywhere” is typically the precursor to something horrible happening when said in anger. The squad leader eventually emerged carrying a small-ish potted tree, which he handed to the service member. “You will keep this tree alive. You will carry this with you wherever you go in uniform. You will take it to PT, you will take it to chow, you will take it to work. If anyone asks you why you’re carrying this f—ing tree around, you will tell them, ‘It’s to replace the oxygen I stole from everyone else.’ “ |
