I give up on this thread. I thought it would mean characters who played very different roles with different makeup or physical appearance, or played one role as a child and a different role 30 years later. Like things that wouldn't be obvious.
Instead we're just getting character actors who look and sound like exactly who they are (Clancy Brown, Michael Jeter, or Jason Isaacs), just in different films. |

Stephen Root does indeed play a very diverse cast of characters, but he has a very distinctive look and is immediately recognizable 87% of the time.
He always puts a smile on my face every time I see him in something new, though.
