This is where Trump makes it so much harder for his defenders (like me). Enough with these rhetorical "Arrest for treason?" tweets. You're the fucking President of the United States. All arrest power at the federal level ultimately comes down to you. If you're not going to arrest Schiff, which we all know you won't, stop spouting off like you're just some random guy on twitter. That shit is beneath the office he holds. Trump needs to do a "My fellow Americans..." prepared speech from the Oval Office desk that lays out why this is bullshit and an attack against voters. Be a goddamned leader. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Was John Bolton A Source For The Whistleblower? View Quote Having speculated wildly about this very scenario yesterday, I feel obliged to pass along someone else’s slightly better informed wild speculation on the same topic.
This may not even count as “wild,” come to think of it. Cockburn makes it sound here like his source has reason to believe that *Trump* sees Bolton’s hand in all this. View Quote One veteran political consultant in Washington tells Cockburn that Trump is afraid Bolton is the mastermind behind all the damaging leaks on his secret dealings with the Ukrainians; the whistleblower’s Deep Throat, if you will. This, he believes, is why Trump’s cheerleader in the Senate, Lindsay Graham, keeps asking who was feeding the CIA whistleblower who came forward with details of a call between Trump and the Ukrainian president (in which Trump asked for dirt on the Democratic frontrunner, Joe Biden). Graham tweeted: ‘It is imperative we find out which White House official talked to the whistleblower and why. Why didn’t they lodge the complaint?’ The price of Graham’s support, the political consultant thought, would be an eventual military strike on Iran. View Quote He went on: ‘Watch Bolton’s role in all this. If he is in mix then Trump has real problems. I hear that Trump was obsessed with Bolton when he [Trump] was in New York. When Trump says the real whistleblower is a spy and should be treated as such, he’s threatening Bolton. Bolton would not play his game in Korea, Iran, Russia or Ukraine. This is Trump’s Achilles heel.’ All of this is pure speculation but interesting speculation nonetheless. The next time Bolton pops up to make a speech criticizing his old boss, perhaps someone should ask him if he was aware of contents of the call with the Ukrainian president back in July – and if he was, did he do anything about it? I'm not joking. What are the classic follies of ignorant savages? They trade things worth more than gold for trifles (birth rights of free men for foodstamps and section 8) . They believe the rain god needs innocent blood (abortion, climate change). They prefer to take by force rather than equitable compromises (Bernie Sanders, Marxists, communists). they create retarded social systems then sacrifice themselves meaninglessly rather than abandon the retarded social systems (fractional reserve banking, trillion dollar college debts, feminism,) etc etc democrats are literally ignorant savages and they vote for more ignorant savages. And now we have learned that the "whistleblower" was not only using second hand data, not only had contact with Schiff before the complaint was filed, filed it under amended paperwork that was very quietly done at the exact same time as the "whistleblower" was going to come forward, and that all this coincided with rules change in the house that happened at the exact same time as this "whistleblower" decided to come forward.
And we also learn that this "whistleblower" was involved in a 2020 Democratic contender's campaign. Quoted: Seems pretty straight forward... View Quote |

Folks, the people running this are not idiots. They are interested primarily in preserving their power. As we have seen, the "intelligence community" and various parts of the federal law enforcement bureaucracy are involved in breathtaking malfeasance and abuse of power. And they are involved to great personal benefit. Remember how many DOJ personnel were accepting nice gifts from media figures? Ever noticed how many high level personnel from the DOJ and the "intelligence community" go on to extremely well-paying retirement careers after they've served a ridiculously low number of years in federal employ with a nice cushy retirement and benefits? Remember Jamie Gorelick, one of the people most directly responsible for making 9/11 possible going on to work for Fannie May where she made more than 20 million dollars promoting housing policies that led directly to the economic crisis in 2008? That's what is at stake here. And it's way more important than any single election...because the bottom line is that this group of people has a stranglehold on power. Just look at how they've deployed it against Trump. That structure is what is at stake here and with it intact they can do as they please...even against a president who is inclined to clean that shit up. Remember how they neutered Sessions immediately and essentially ran the DOJ as a complete resistance campaign? It's only now starting to be addressed and it is anyone's guess how effective Barr can be in correcting that. Which is why the same cabal of people has been busily attacking Barr. The power at stake here is not about the election. It's about the underbelly of Washington DC that makes elections irrelevant. This shit has been developing for decades and it is on the cusp of achieving absolute power in the country. Half the Republican party is effectively tamed or in on it. All the democrats are in on it. Anyone who steps out of line gets shoddy, politically motivated FBI investigations and prosecutions over nothing. Remember Ted Stevens? Remember how the DOJ made up a bunch of bullshit and got rid of him with fake criminal charges that a federal judge later threw out and censured the prosecutors over? Remember how the people who did that were not fired or disciplined by DOJ in any way? Congress is not the locus of their power. They kept Donald Trump on a leash for two years while in the minority in Congress simply through maneuvering and manipulation of "intelligence community" and DOJ powers. If Donald Trump succeeds at bringing sunlight to this and at actually fighting it, their base of power is gone, the flow of money stops, and some of them might even end up in prison. That is what this is all about. The short term electoral fate of the democratic party is irrelevant. The democratic party is merely a useful entity for helping promote and protect this system. Just look at Hillary's campaign. What in her campaign was in any way, shape, or form good for the long term of the Democratic Party? Absolutely nothing. Her campaign was entirely a campaign to promote and protect these cancers on the body politic. They are who she campaigned to and signaled her shared allegiance with. They didn't campaign to blue collar workers in swing states because those people are nothing more than useful dupes they need to fool every couple of years to help advance their power base further. This is about stopping Trump's ability to damage this power structure that has been carefully constructed over decades. They are well funded and far better organized than anyone who would like to see their system destroyed. They have agents everywhere and the sort of relentless appetite for power you see parodied in movies. Impeachment is about stopping Trump and those he has recruited from being able to damage that. Nothing more. If the Democrats lose in 2020 but Trump is unable to make any headway in attacking that structure, it is a win for them. Because there will be other presidents and they will either play ball or get the Trump treatment. Only worse. See the battle that's really being fought, here. View Quote |

The president’s discussion included talk on investigating the Biden crime family. Ciaramella was not on the call. He just heard about it and his complaint was filled with numerous inaccuracies.
Ciaramella lied in his complaint saying had not met with Congress before filing his complaint. View Quote On October 8th Ciaramella approached the intelligence community to correct his statement after news broke on October 2nd that he approached his close friends in Adam Schiff’s office before he turned their whistlblower report. Ciaramella lied about meeting with the Schiff team before he turned in his complaint.
On October 2nd news broke that Schiff and Ciarmella BOTH LIED about their communications before the complaint was filed. So on October 8th Ciaramella contacted the ICIG to correct his lies on his complaint. Eric Ciaramella worked with two of Schiff’s aides Abigail Grace and Sean Misko, in the White House. View Quote |

Good read. Devin Nunes: Republicans have 'active investigation' into intelligence inspector general
House Republicans are investigating Michael Atkinson, the Intelligence Community inspector general who notified Congress of the whistleblower complaint that sparked an impeachment effort against President Trump. California Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, told The Sara Carter Show on Monday that Atkinson still faces "serious questions" after his testimony in October, which to this day remains under wraps. Democrats have not released the transcript of that deposition despite mounting pressure by Republicans. "Everyone needs to see that testimony," Nunes said, adding that the reason it has not been released is "because it's very damaging, not only to the whistleblower but also to Atkinson himself." Nunes said House Republicans have "an active investigation" open into Atkinson. They have sent a letter to the inspector general, but Nunes said they "gave us a very typical IC response, which is to not answer the question." He also conceded that, as the minority party in the House, Republicans cannot subpoena Atkinson or force him to testify again. A representative for Atkinson did not immediately return the Washington Examiner's request for comment. Atkinson received the complaint from a CIA analyst, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, in August and deemed it to be urgent and credible. The complaint raised concerns about Trump's July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which the Trump pressed for an investigation into his political rival Joe Biden. It also raised concerns about an effort to conceal details of that conversation and others using a highly secure computer system. Atkinson forwarded the complaint to acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire, who did not give the watchdog permission to share it with Congress after seeking guidance from the White House and the Justice Department, but it did allow him to notify them of its existence. After a clash over access with Democratic lawmakers, the complaint was declassified on Sept. 25, the same day the transcript of the Trump-Zelensky call was released, and it was made available to the public the next day. Republicans have complained that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, who had a leading role in the House impeachment process, had foreknowledge of the whistleblower's complaint and misled them about what he knew. With some allies of Trump pointing the finger at CIA analyst Eric Ciaramella, the whistleblower's lawyers and Democrats have argued that the whistleblower's identity is no longer relevant and that outing the whistleblower would put that person's life in danger. After testimony by dozens of witnesses, the House passed two articles of impeachment nearly three weeks ago that charged Trump with abuse of power in dealing with Ukraine and obstruction of Congress. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat from California, has been withholding articles of impeachment because Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has signaled he may not call any witnesses. The Kentucky Republican said he will not agree in advance to the Democrats' demands. Quoted:

Best witness Mueller had in the Russia probe, name mentioned 130 times in the report. Mueller kept his kiddy diddling secret and let him leave the country. Guy has deep ties to the Clintons, illegally gave them millions in the 2016 election, was the guy who wrapped up Eric Prince, probably to shut his mouth on what the NYPD had on Weiners laptop.
