Maybe you would say that isn't possible but what would be a good decked out car in that range. Mercedes? BMW? Something my wife and I can go to town or on trips in.

I wouldn't care about massive hp as much as a fun and comfortable car to drive. 2 door or 4. I don't care about a convertible.

I would consider used but only low miles so keep that in mind for recommendations in that price range.

For under 60k, I'd buy a less than year old dealer car, very nice Lexus.

Damn, keep it up fellas. I don't have much interest in cars and honestly I am having to look most of these up as I am out of the loop.  Actually, I am apparently far more clueless than even I suspected.

Not anymore. Like most cars , reliability has much improved. Plus you buy CPO you will have a long warranty. I’m on my third Rover. Can’t say enough good things.

The OP asks for two different car recommendations. If you want a decked out, comfortable luxury cruiser, I stand by the Lexus LS.

If you want something sporty...

CTS-V
BMW M5/6

I have an Audi A3.  The S3 is around your price range.  Nice car, especially the interior.  Not flashy, more reserved styling if that is what you are looking for.

Shit, my friend’s new Lexus ES is pretty nice and only a bit over $40k. I’m not up on cars these days, but I thought it was an LS until I walked around the rear and saw the badging.

define luxury
at that price point, personally, I'd get a resto-modded late 60s early 70s muscle car

I have work trucks I can use for when I need a truck. My 5'2" wife doesn't want to have to crawl up into a vehicle every time we stop.

I guess I should have put one or two more qualifiers...while I have wanted a 911 for probably 25 years I live in very rural SouthWest Virginia. So things like Bentleys and Porsche not only stand out in an outrageous and ostentatious way there would also be issues taking them to a dealer of need be which is a minimum of hours away.

I do appreciate all options to consider though.
