Yeah, I'd buy a few.

PSA should be making M203s and boxes of 40mm HEDP should be sold the same as any other type of ammo.

All small arms and light weapons suitable for militia service should be available for American citizens to purchase, unrestricted.

M4s, M16s, and M27s? Yes.

SAWs and 240s? Yes.

M203s, LAWs, and Carl Gustavs? Yes.

60mm M224s? Yes.

There should be a CMP office in every county in every state, with all of those for sale with no more headache than there would be buying an 870 or a 10/22.

Kalashnikov USA should be offering PKMs, RPG-7s and GP-30s for all the Slavaboos.

I've thrown a few M67s and set off a few claymores, the explosion and boom is impressive in person

No. They're icky....like guns and girls.

I'd probably buy one just to throw it.  High explosives are cool, but not something I feel the need to have laying around the house.

Why not just pick them up at the gun show?
Just keep asking around  “where’s the good stuff?”
Even the jerky guy will throw couple if you buy #5.

I’d probably buy some just to have, but I’d never throw them for the same reason I never shoot anymore. I hate spending money on something that just disappears when i use it one time.

That said would you buy some M67 frag grenades if they only required a 4473?
I would buy some as they are safe enough to keep around and would be useful when things in the country go sideways.

Sure, just in case I really needed one.

But I'd want a separate safe with some walls thick enough to stop shrapnel if I were going to keep them.

Who am I kidding.  I have kids.  I can't afford fun toys.

not really, more dangerous than useful and they'd be pretty expensive

I wouldn't mind real military-grade smoke grenades in various colors, though. Those have some uses. But those would probably still be too expensive for me to really want.

It’s probably in the potential grenade owners best interests that grenades aren’t readily available.

I could see a whole lot of clumsy Bubba’s accidentally killing themselves and innocent bystanders.  I wouldn’t  buy one as I wouldn’t trust myself to not be that clumsy Bubba.

Factory made frags aren’t dangerous as long as the user has some common sense.

Home-made or Slavshit ”mystery meat” nades are a different story though.

$100? Fuck that.

Uncle sam buys them at ~$30 a pop. I’d be in for a few at $50, got some moles that’ve been tearing up my yard.

From what i’ve read, 4-5 seconds is a typical fuze for most grenades, regardless of country.  But boobytrap grenades have near-instant fuzes, and all countries have used them in war.

Mr or Mrs Black-marketeer only cares there’s a fuze—not accuracy.  I guess the time delay could theoretically go bad over time….but that kind of defeats the purpose of pre-war production for stockpiling.

No military service—I just read a great deal.

That’s too funny! I missed that.

No interest in grenades—I own legal rifle & pistol silencers because I don’t like muzzle blast—until the invention of “nitro-whisperin,” or some other quieter explosive—i’ll pass.

Yes. Absolutely. I’d buy a crate.

Played ball back in ‘82.  I can throw a football a quarter-me.  I’m dead serious.  How much you wanna make a bet I can throw a hand grenade over some mountains?

Yeah... if coach woulda put me in the fourth quarter we would’ve been state champions... no doubt... no doubt in my mind.

They would be scattered all over if something like that happened. You could trade a mouth hug for one from the local warlord.

It would depend on a number of things... Price would be a big part of it.  Then I would want to know if it would be safe to unscrew the spoon/primer/detonator from the grenade body to safely store them separately.

Having live grenades just laying around the house, or in an ammo can in my shop sounds like problems just waiting to happen..for me, or whoever finds them after I die.   Being that I think there are so many idiots in the world, it wouldn't surprise me if someone found the grenade and thought "gee, I wonder what would happen if....."   and maybe even precedes the "Gee I wonder", with  "here hold my beer and watch this."

My point is that I can more reasons that owning a live grenade would be more likely to end poorly than to end with me being the hero and saving the day because I was the only guy on the block to have a grenade when it was needed.

That all depends, señor ATF man. Would you help us get the DNR to allow us to use them for fishing? Cuz that would be sweet.

Why would you need hand grenades? Only Communists and Fascists need weapons!
