Saw one of these go through a local auction earlier this year.  It was beautiful.

On my budget?  Not much of anything that I could just buy in one piece just like that.  But assuming money is no object or I have enough money for whatever I might want, I'd want to buy one of these, Delft scope & mount, bipod, bayonet, sling, and everything, in as decent shape as they come, with the lower being a Hahn Machine reweld:

Second choice would be a clone of this rifle, either in the original .460 G&A chambering or .505 Burns, with maybe a couple of personal touches, ideally also made by George Hoenig if he's still alive and working.  Jeff Cooper's "Baby", which is built on the Brno ZKK-602 action.  Although if any rifle is theoretically up for grabs, then perhaps the original would be the one to get.

Lewis and Clark air rifle, the larger caliber (46 cal. I think)
Can't imagine the cost but we are dreaming right.

I missed out on those  I was young and poor.  Now they are like hens teeth.  A guy in the EE used to sell them at a discount.  Alas, I was too poor.

(Wink wink I'd anyone knows where I can find one)

I lusted after them when they got released back around 2005. The A1 model was going for around $900ish and the A3G (FBI Model) was around $1800. I wanted one badly too, had the money at one point just couldn't find anyone that had one in stock. Ended up buying a SAKO 75 hunting rifle instead.

Last I checked the prices have gone full retard. For what they are going for, you a better off getting a Tikka Tac A1 or stepping up and getting a SAKO TRG.

Personally, I'd go for a fully decked out TRG-22 in 6.5 Creedmore.

If I'm buying, probably a Ruger Hawkeye Long-Range Target in 6.5PRC; if you're buying, probably a KAC SR25 of some variation.

Had a T97 for a couple months and sold it off. It's built for midgets, and the mag release is itty bitty.

A guy in Corpus listed that exact rifle on on Texas Gun Trader last week. Said he needed to sell it quick due to poor health and the price was SMOKING. His ads on TGT and Accurate Reloading didn't stay up long. It was either fraud or somebody got the deal of the year. If it had been a .470 I would have made a run at it.

Make my dream rifle a Westley Richards droplock double. .470 or .500, I'm not picky.

I’ve seen scams on Sabattis on armslist. If it was on Accurate, I bet someone got a good deal... Kinda wishing it was me.

Custom machined Genesis CNC 80% (Armalite-pattern) lower receiver on a Lewis Machine & Tool MWS-308 20-inch scoped upper.

Assuming NFA:

Full auto M-16 lower on a Lewis Machine & Tool MRP piston upper and full auto bolt carrier and enhanced bolt with a 1-6 power scope.
Full auto New Frontier Armory AR-9 lower on an LRBHO side-charging 8-inch upper with Maxim PDW stock, JP Rifles 9mm bolt/silent captured spring and red dot optic.

Seems like you hear very little good about the Sabattis . Think for the money you would be better off spending a bit more on a Merkel

The Sabatti Big 5 Classic had a bad run sold through cabelas years ago that were out of regulation. They were fixed under warranty and they still have an accuracy guarantee. You can usually get a Sabatti for half the price of a Merk.

I’d take the Hyem, Merk, K, or Sabatti if someone was giving me one. I’m not picky.
