Having had both, I choose an SUV. An SUV has just about all of the utility of a truck, the parts I used at any rate since I can count on one hand the number of times I needed a truck bed. The only thing they lack is the upper end towing power.

Sports cars are fun but I don't miss mine. Decent SUVs, especially mid-size and smaller ones, are probably as fast as the two sportscars I owned when I was younger.

This.

Get a pickup truck and a tow behind RV
Drop a steel building on the land as a future Shop/Storage building and live in the RV while your house is being built

Sports car.

Of the 2 choices, pick up.   Otherwise there are a few other vehicles I’d rather get instead.

No.  Never even wanted to.  Not being snarky.  Just a different frame of mind.

I'd buy a third or fifth generation El Camino.  Then I'd take it to whoever's the current incarnation of Carrol Shelby and tell them to turn it into a high performance road car. "Do what you gotta do. Oh, and by the way, have someone build me a two-speed rear end in case I want to pull 1500 pounds of trailer now and then.  Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. I don't give a damn.  Just do it.  Here's a hundred grand.  Call me when that's gone.  Now get cracking, Sugar."

Then I'd go to the DMV and order up a set of vanity plates: KMAMF.

My uncle basically did that but with a ranchero
Did your uncle live in north Texas.  Serious question.

I don't think most people understand how much faster cars are today. Especially when you start to tinker. A new camry with a v6 is probably quicker than those cars, too.

Indeed. That's someone else's job. I don't even have a use for a pickup now.

With that kind of scratch I'm going to be in the market for some form of McLaren.

Probably a sports car, no real reason to replace my f150 even if I had all the money in the world. At least until I had a car to pull up next to it with.

Rather blow a million or two on a house and estate first anyway.

Lol at this thread's poverty mindset.

People with $100 Million:
A) don't keep it in the bank
B) don't touch dirty things with their hands. That includes towing and hauling things.
C) rent out tracks and supercars when the urge to go fast hits them.

Well I'm not gonna turn into an opulent fag just because I get money in the bank.

If I suddenly had an unexpected 100 million dollars... I would definitely spend it on more hot lady body guards and big cats.

And I would buy fur coats for the cats.

I mean, they probably wouldn't wear them.

It would probably just piss them off.

If I had $100 million, nobody would know because my lifestyle wouldn't change much other than to retire.

Well..... I guess my immediate neighbors would know because I'd buy up their houses and plow them down.

Truck. I can use it to tow the sportscar back home since it wouldn't be street legal.
Seriously I would think about some sort of overlanding vehicle. Nothing glamorous but good for hauling me and some of my junk far from people for at least a few weeks.

Assuming my sudden new found wealth is lottery, when they make you go onstage to promote your face as the winner, I’d say pickup.

First, I’d try to curry favor by specifically saying I’m supporting our US auto industry by buying a US pickup.

Second, try and get some US automaker to offer me a deal as the one the newest lotto winner selected
