Definitely out of the norm for this board. But I only own 3 firearms

Shield 9mm
Rem 700 in .308
Franken AR

I have the itch to put together a 6.5cm to replace my .308

Just haven’t been after it as much as I used to.

First, a 12 gage single. Stock configuration can kill small game and large game at close ranges with shot, buck and slugs.  Add spent cases + primers and black powder and it can function with same loads as muzzleloader. They also make centerfire and rimfire conversion adapters to drop in.

Second, a 9 shot .22 revolver with a 4-6" barrel. Top break would be best if available. Can shoot mini shotshells, shorts and LR. Hot hollow points can be used for close defense.

Third, A stripped down, light AR. Not so heavy as to not be shouldered all day, but can drop game with well placed shots, has great range and can be used for defense if need be. America is bloated with spare parts.

Fourth, (yes, I get this fourth one because it is technically not a firearm by US law) a scoped 50 cal inline muzzleloader. Primer supply and powder from first in my list can be shared with this rig. Can roll my own projectiles and 300 gr powerbelt bullets with enough of a charge pushing them can drop any critter on the continent inside of 150 yards.  It can hammer for hog, deer, elk or moose.

Damn OP, only 3? I’d have to go with a battle rifle for range, shotty for cqb/power, and a sexy 1911 that also carries easily.

14.5” 308AR  (with suppressor)
14.5” Benelli M2 SBS
1911 Compact (4.25” on a officer frame)

I have a wife though and she gets 3 Guns too... even if they’re my guns
11.5” 5.56mm AR SBR (with suppressor)
Glock 19 (with suppressor)
Transferable MAC 11/9mm SMG (with suppressor)

I've already had to make this decision (although it didn't result in getting rid of all the others) to allow relatively free and unrestricted travel in North America ( including but not limited to Canuckistan) and a legal commute between my two addresses (Tx and AK).

The results were two bolt action rifles .308 Win (w/irons,  q/d 1-5 lpv, and q/d Comp M3) and .375 Ruger (w/irons, q/d 1-5 lpv) and an 8 rd 12 ga pump (w/bead).

Insomuch as I have managed to live 57 years at this point without engaging in a firefight , I am fairly confident I can make it another 50 with these three.

Quoted:
Say you can only have three firearms. What would you choose?

For me:

1. Remington 870
2. One of my home built ar15s
3. Glock 23

Feel like These would suit my personal needs for self defense, home defense, leisure, and sport.

Solid first post, close the thread.
I would have to choose my O/U because I can't operate the pump action any more, but that is just me.

i cannot effectively conceal a 1911, Glock 19 or even a J-Frame in this attire.

1. AR for most uses.
2. Fudd boltgun for long range (.308 for commonality)
3. Glock 23 for carry.

No use for a shotgun.  Only thing it does better than a rifle is kill birds.  Its great for that...
