Funny note, in the past two years, I've been at a gun purchasing mecca.

I've seen other people waiting on screenings and me getting punched through immediately.

I'm so damned screened by every governing body in this land and I get preference, apparently.

At least I didn’t need them today

I made a ball starter from a scrap of walnut from school that fits the hand nicely, a scrap piece of brass (also from school) and leftover from the ramrod.  It was stained and treated with leftover Tru-oil.

Sell the MRO, put the nx8 and this $400 NIB type 2 RM06 on the .308, buy a TA33 with piggyback RMR for SBR.

The Nx8 does have a RMR mount with riser to clear elevation turret.

I need a second 11.5" SBR to put my ta33/rmr on. Have an AEMS on mine right now for a night gun, but the ta33/rmr is lighter than an aimpoint pro, and just works really well.

So I guess I need to buy a more precision focused scope (Vortex PST Gen 2 3-15x44mm FFP MRAD?), put it in my spare adm mount with their new rmr mount ring half and an rm06, put that on my cola parts rifle, move the nx8/rmr to my light 16" gun, move the TA33/RMR to a new 11.5 . . .

Is 1-8 too much for a 10.5?
I haven’t held it yet but it seems like it would be rds like at 1x.

Maybe just invest in some 77smk and have fun

Works nicely with NV, is faster than twisting back to 1x, and acts as a backup/always on sight if your battery is dead on your lpvo (or it just isn't turned on because their battery life sucks).
1x on the scope can also act as a white light backup when you have your rmr turned down for use with NV.

Not a necessity, but very nice to have for certain use cases.
I'd honestly be just as happy if my NX8's low end was 1.5 or 2x, but a 1.5-9x or 2-8x NF in the 1-8x's form factor would cost the same as the 1-8x so . . .

Otoh, the acog/rmr gives you an excellent 1x/3 or 4x option that is significantly lighter (and probably  cheaper) than anything with comparable glass.

Weight penalty for flexibility bonus.
