Works nicely with NV, is faster than twisting back to 1x, and acts as a backup/always on sight if your battery is dead on your lpvo (or it just isn't turned on because their battery life sucks). 1x on the scope can also act as a white light backup when you have your rmr turned down for use with NV. Not a necessity, but very nice to have for certain use cases. I'd honestly be just as happy if my NX8's low end was 1.5 or 2x, but a 1.5-9x or 2-8x NF in the 1-8x's form factor would cost the same as the 1-8x so . . . Otoh, the acog/rmr gives you an excellent 1x/3 or 4x option that is significantly lighter (and probably cheaper) than anything with comparable glass. Weight penalty for flexibility bonus. |
