Quoted: They are going after the Dr. Jones character anyway View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: They are going after the Dr. Jones character anyway 'Indiana Jones' actress Karen Allen defends the iconic character from accusations of pedophilia The massively popular adventure film debuted almost exactly 40 years ago in 1981, introducing the world to the partnership and turmoil between Indy and Marion. As the movies gained popularity and spawned three follow-up films, fans have discussed the duo's initial meeting and the implication that Jones had a romantic relationship with an underage girl. When Jones first sees Marion in her bar, they discuss the falling out he had with her father after they engaged in some kind of romantic relationship. Marion is holding a grudge, and shouts at Jones, "I was a child!" "You knew what you were doing," Jones snaps back. The scene is kept vague and the nature of their past romance is never explored in subsequent scenes. This has led many over the years to speculate that Jones was courting a girl who was inappropriately aged for him, with some even going as far as to call him a pedophile. Speaking to Uproxx to mark the film's 40th anniversary, Allen explained that she always believed that her character was justified in being mad at Jones, but stopped short of saying he groomed a literal child. "I think I say I was 16. I don't know. That's always what I imagined is she was 16, he was 26. And he was her father's student. And it's left very mysterious," she told the outlet. |

Truth be told, Lucas fucked up. He never should have stopped making Indiana Jones and Star Wars movies at the end of the original trilogies. The actors were in their primes, they could have made a fuckton of money still, and people wouldn't have been left with "what ifs" regarding how the franchises would have continued to shake out if they did so. Instead, they decided to try and add onto both franchises with the actors far too damn late.
The first three Indy films were great (TOD is even an ok watch), and with a fairly-large team they could have come up with a few more scripts that made sense. Same with SW. They could have picked up right after ROTJ with luke starting a training academy, etc. I kinda hate them for not doing that, and instead giving us what we got. I guess we'll just have to hope this is an improvement on Crystal Skull and The Force Awakens. |

Quoted: They're going to de-age him with CGI for the Nazi scenes. View Quote Hopefully they'll just use a younger stunt actor and paste Ford's face over it. I have no idea how Martin Scorsese ever thought using a geriatric Di Niro would ever look realistic during a fight scene. It was an embarrassingly bad use of special effects. |

The first one was good.
The second and third not so good. Never saw the fourth one "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" . |

Dupe threads are the best threads....!
Already mentioned this a few days ago - filming is local to me - turned down the chance to be in it as an extra. A flashback scene involving Nazis was filmed overnight on Monday, for Indiana Jones 5. Harrison Ford was once again absent, as the sequence was shot with minimal actors and crew on an empty road in the Dumfriesshire countryside in Scotland. Stunt drivers were seen racing along the road in a World War II car with Nazi flags on it. Link |

Gonna look worse than Biden trying to make it through a presser. Hopefully I’m wrong.

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: So he travelled back in time as an old man? Jesus, couldn’t they have him sneak into 1960’s or 1970’s East Germany or something more appropriate for his age? No, because using the real facists of the 1930s and 40s makes a much better comparison to the American facists of the present. But, if they took of with the narrative built around say, the east German socialists, under the control of the USSR, then it would seem that they we're making their true intentions known. And that would be them and the direction that they fully intend to lead this country and truth be damned. Some of them think some of us are real stupid too. We'll be seeing y'all real soon |

I tried many ways to get an audition for this movie. It didnt happen but I still run into Ford at one of the only upscale L.A. restaurants that keeps your being there from the press. (at most LA eateries, they will call the paparazzi that will pay for the info, and hell, often the actors go to some places just to get the press)
