Inside CERN’s ‘antimatter factory’ creating antihydrogen - BBC News |

Do you want Nephilim!!!? Because THIS is how you get Nephilim!!

Piffle. I made several orders of magnitude more antiprotons than CERN ever will make of anti-hydrogen. Several world records, actually.
If you took all the antimatter I made and blew it up you'd get on the order of a stick or three of dynamite's worth of kaboom. 100% nothingburger. |
|
They should run the machine at 150% duty cycle. When headcrabs materialize out of the walls, and a small portion of the facility vaporizes, scale it down 25%. Not going to see antimatter 9mm in my lifetime by being a pussy behind the controls.

The sooner we extinct ourselves, the better for all of us. Humans are a failed extra terrestrial experiment and every person brought into this existence is pays for it.

Do you really want to shit your pants?
Lightning produces antimatter too. And peeling off a length of scotch tape? X-rays. |

Quoted: Antimatter? meh, what could possibly go wrong? View Quote Well, just a rough guess, but if they were making a ton of the stuff it could potentially end modern civilization. If they were making a kilogram of the stuff it could end a large city. If they were making a gram of the stuff it could take out CERN and leave a big crater. If they were making a milligram of the stuff it could do a lot of damage to CERN and kill some scientists. If they were making a microgram of the stuff it could maybe kill everyone in a room. How much are they making? |

I still don’t get the creepy dance, but why the transvestites?

Quoted: How much are they making? View Quote Alpha (one of the CERN experiments) is capturing on the order of 50~100 at a time. When F-rmilab was at peak antimatter production, it was making about 25x1010 (25E10) antiprotons/hour, 24/7/365. The largest quantity of antiprotons F-rmilab stored was something like ~450E10. It took 6 particle accelerators to make and store the antiprotons, and a 7th (T-vatron) to use them. |

CERN is the research wing of the Committee of 300, and their goal is to create a reliable means of time travel, with which to establish full global control.

The T-vatron collided protons and antiprotons. So they had to make antiprotons. in the early 90s we made about 3E10/hour. With lots of work we got to 25E10/hr a year or two before they pulled the plug. We made a lot of antiprotons (called pbars because the symbol was a p with a little bar over it). Really hated to see them turn it off. |

I've long held a theory as to why there are likely very few advanced civilizations in the universe.
The species that do make it over the bar of physics eventually build shit like super colliders. They eventually and accidentally create a black hole or a tear in space time and their solar system gets sucked in. |

Antimatter is an energy storage mechanism, not an energy source. Energy in = energy out, roughly. If you want to make enough antimatter to equal a nuclear bomb, then you need to start with a nuclear bomb's amount of energy as input to the antimatter factory.

View Quote it's much muuuuuch worse than that! I don't remember the actual numbers but numbers like million and billion pop up when you start talking about the process. Very very very hard to make antimatter. |

Worry not guys. I am 3miles from ground zero. I have everything needed to deal with headcrabs

So if we've made a lot of it already, why don't we know the effect of gravity on it? (see video)

I'm glad they are on the other side of the world but will it matter when they set the atmosphere on fire?

Quoted: So if we've made a lot of it already, why don't we know the effect of gravity on it? (see video) View Quote In high energy physics mode, antiprotons are relativistic, traveling at .999+ the speed of light. 8 to 980 GeV. Not really set up to measure something like gravity. The CERN antimatter has been cooled down to .012 degrees above absolute zero and is held in position with a laser. |
