Get a netgear nighthawk m1, the external outdoor antenna.  Beam style and point it towards a cell tower.
Along with a tplink ac1750 router.
Theres maps online shows tower locations.

Thenngo on ebay and buy a grandfathered ATT buisness account for 35$. Pay the 35$ a month for internet.
Depending on how congested the cell tower is, i have seen speeds over 250mps sometimes alot higher.

This the solution i replaced my parents dsl with and even dropped expensive xfinity at my house.

Do youre own research, not going to be responsible for you getting a bad deal.

How much do you pay per month now for crap speed.
That nighthawk will pay for itself in 3 months with 100x dl/up speed increase, and you can take it anywhere with you.
350$ is pennys when it comes to quality internet speed.

I've looked into this but that router is $350.

I pay $60/mo for my land line and I don't want to give it up because in a crisis, my experience is that the cell network gets jammed to a crawl. I'll be happy if you prove me wrong and that would save me $700 a year.

I live in a very tech area and have 500mbps at home.

That's two bits per second.  That's even slower than a Bell 103 modem from 1962.  I think you're full of crap.z

Just pulled 85.2....but I was streaming a movie at the same time and pretty sure wife has the bedroom tv doing the same upstairs as she's asleep.

Your internet truly sucks, op.

What my speed is currently off the cradle point in my office trailer. I’m assuming there’s a ton of signal interference where I’m located.

Patiently waiting for centurylink to get off their ass for a drop/install.

My DSL was supposed to be 5Mbps, I often saw only 800Kbps.

I switched to a 4G cellular modem a year ago and have ~20Mbps now for half the cost.

If you live in rural Tx, Ok, Ks, Ne, Ia, or northern Il, there is a good chance my company is bringing 25 to 100M speeds to your area via LoS.

@Kota4bye

What's the company and how much as my parents are stuck on 4G at the moment.

My rural DSL runs 6Mbit and I will take that any day over 100Mbit in some suburban nightmare.

I have OTR and it ranges from 30 Mbps at 0500 all the way down to less than 1 Mbps by early evening and basically unusable for anything but text. Jumps back up by midnight.

I close tomorrow on a new house.  I just got done signing up with AT&T.

Going from 10Mb DSL to 1Gb Fiber.

ONE HUNDRED TIMES FASTER.
