I understand why they stripped id's from archived posts, but it does make it a bit more difficult to find quality content from posters like Molon,

Thank you sir, my humble attempt.

I did enjoy talking the time to shoot slowly, measure after each grouping. It was very calming and exciting at the same time!

Then shooting steel at 100 was super quick and easy afterwards! After shooting with the 1-10 though it made the 1-4 on my 14.5” noveske feel lacking with the magnification range.

Yep I sure did, haven’t used them before I had a pair or manual calipers prior. Oof.

Still fun and I felt decent groups for me and even if I have to double the shown size I’ll take it.

Looks like you basically got the same size groups I did with the AAC match stuff. Averaging low 1-inch range.

ETA: Mine were at 100 yards.

I need to get back into it. I have a couple of rusty Dillans (a 550 and 650) I need to refurbish, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I got them for free from a guy clearing out his workshop.

Send them to Dillon. Probably cost you shipping and you’ll get back brand new presses. For realz

I used to handload on a Lee Pro 1000.

I probably loaded about 8k .45ACP and 20k 9mm on it.

Only broke the powder measure chain 4 or so times.

Huh.  I mean, I've seen a Lee red press in a thrift store in Houston.  Would they refurbish it, you think?

Thanks again Molon.

They have a no bullshit lifetime warranty. Take pics and send them to Dillon asking what it would cost to have them go over and repair/replace any needed parts. Might cost you shipping, might cost you nothing. Plenty of stories of guys sending in old rusted presses found in a closet and getting back a repainted press with all new parts for stupid cheap.

It’s why used Dillons sell for not much under current prices.
