I think CFA has the best chicken sandwich out of all the fast-food type places. However, I've always wondered why Popeyes(who I think make the best fried chicken out of all franchise places) never had a real competitor. Well, looks like this might change come tomorrow nationwide. I for one will be trying it out since the CFA and Popeyes here are practically right next to one another.
Cost: $3.99 the sandwich features a buttermilk battered and hand-breaded chicken breast filet, two barrel-cured pickles, and a choice of either classic mayo or spicy Cajun spread on a buttery, toasted brioche bun View Quote https://www.brandeating.com/2019/08/popeyes-unveils-new-chicken-sandwich.html Review ETA: now with pole |

"If their newly-redesigned website is any indication, it looks likely that the new sandwich will be replacing their Chicken Po' Boy."
Noooooooooooo! |
One of the Popeyes near us is a "test kitchen." That sandwich is really good!
lol, no
popeyes is just about the worst fast food place I've ever eat. From the quality of the food to the service, it's just about universally terrible. |

It's not just the sammich
Chikfila pays well and hires courteous people who provide excellent service. They lose, they all lose. Long live chikfila |

Popeye's chicken tastes much better than CFA's, and that sandwich looks better than CFA's too.
lol
Are you serious? CFA is almost an experience. Clean, polite people serving yummy (albeit pricey) food in a clean environment. Popeye’s will never be able to compete with that. You honestly think that the CFA faithful will abandon their brand for another chain’s quasi tasty sandwich? |

It’s also about the service. It may be a great chicken sandwich but I don’t see any damn waffle fries and I bet that sandwich comes with a side of surly attitude.
Fuck no.
I wouldn’t eat GhettoChicken if a $20 bill was at the bottom of the bucket. Yuck. |
Are they going to hire all CFA’s staff too?
It’s not just the food at CFA. |

As long as I have to go to a Popeyes to get that sandwich, I'll be eating CFA.
all our local popeye's are nasty shitholes staffed by junkies and felons
Are they going to start hiring polite little white kids now? Or will they still be the same attitude entitled ghetto goblins?
Popeye's here is a greasy shithole. It sucks. The chicken pieces are absolutely absurd how small they are. You'd think they were cooking sparrows in the back.
Hate Chicken has people lined up around the block. All day. Every day. Popeye's has a looooooong row to hoe to even catch up to Hate Chicken. |

The Popeyes here is really good. The KFC is a total dump.
Chick fila is 20 miles one way in bad traffic. |

Fuck Popeyes. They came to town about fifteen years ago.
Tried them, got sick. Thought it was probably a fluke so tried them again a couple months later and got sick. A couple months later they closed the doors. Another one opened here about five years back but fuck that fool me twice and all that. |
I’ve tried Popeyes once. It was garbage.
Everybody gets one . |

The one and only time I ate a Popeye's it was shit. Chicken was dried out, the biscuit you could use for a hockey puck.
I gave most of the meal to a dog that was hanging out in the parking lot. |

Absolutely. CFA is some of the most overrated fast food out there. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

I love CFA and it's not going anywhere.
I have also had the Popeyes spicy sandwich. It is way better than and CFA sandwich. I was shocked. It has more flavor, thicker chicken breast meat, much crispier and with a better bun. I've had it a few times. Popeyes hit a home run. |
There isn't either within the "willing to travel for food" radius around here.
Any time I want a whale of a case of acid indigestion I get popeyes.
The popeyes closest to me has trouble having their menu items ready to go. I have waited up to half an hour to get my order.

Folks that talk down Popeyes service haven't been to the Popeyes at the Atlanta airport. Yes, the Atlanta Airport.
I was there about a year ago now and the ladies behind the counter were some hustling employees getting the order right and moving you on down the line for your money and - bam - here is your chicken sir. I was very impressed. |

GD’s IBS brigades are showing up. It explains the CFA love.
Bland tasteless food served with a smile. |
