A whole ten minutes, or ten minutes per week?
Fuck it, that is lame either way. We have been bribing employees with Yeti stuff, not fake walmart brand stuff, actual Yeti stuff. |
Unless it's an 'award' major enough that comes with tax implications, gratitude is optional.

Your fingernails say you should see a doc or you work too hard to put up with that kind of bullshit.
Maybe something else, but dam son. ETA: looking closer, is that paint? Definitely see a doc |

immediately soak your entire body in salt water in a room with no light, jesus...

That is insulting , mr whatshisname, the pravtical joker/vandal needs to put in some work over at your place of employment.
That would piss me off. That's the mark of a shitty company insulting your intelligence. Seriously, that's your sign to quit.

Minimum 4 digits of cash, or a bottle of whiskey more than 10 years old, or ingratitude(nonchalance) is allowed.

Serious question, why don’t Americans value their labor as much as Europeans? I work remotely for a company based in EU. European work life balance is all I’ve ever known. Why don’t Americans want the same level of working hours/PTO/maternity and paternity leave etc? We love to bag on China for being a big sweatshop but it seems we’re really behind compared to our actual first world peers. It just seems insane to me that even a McDonald’s fry cook in my company country gets 4 weeks PTO whereas some Americans have to work years to attain that.
I got 3 days of leave a couple weeks, which was super awesome.
But, I take 10 min breaks every morning |
I took my stupid etched glass work "award" and tested my
KSG on it with both slugs and buckshot in summer last year. No pics cause it's in little, tiny pieces. |

Americans in theory want to achieve perks by merit, and not forced to contribute just because we're "employed." Some people suck so much that they shouldn't be paid for their "work" let alone for time off. But Americans can also work themselves to death, and ignore the best interests of their families for fear of losing their jobs. |
I'd throw that straight in the trash and spend an extra 10 minutes taking a shit each and every day.
What a fucking joke. I am sure "management" pat themselves on the back for their generosity and had a circle jerk.
JC, reading that list of "rules" do you have to give 24 hours notice to take a dump during work hours OP?
If I find myself working somewhere that nit-picks 10 minute breaks, my life has gone horribly awry and I will shortly off myself.
"Give at least a 24 hour notice"
Attached File Yeah, that's gonna be a "NO" from me, dawg. I'll take my fucking break whenever the fuck I feel like it. |
I always add extra time to my breaks and in-between breaks, sometimes 10 minutes sometimes 40 minutes depending on the length it takes for a particular CNC program to run.
For example, lunch is at 12:00p, if I haven't had the CNC set up for a run by 11:59a, drop what I'm doing and it sits. Doesn't matter if it's a 30 minute program. If I can get it set-up before, and runs during lunch and switches axes during lunch, I'll spend a minute to make sure it doesn't fuck up. If it does I'll terminate the program and deal with it after lunch. I do stuff like reviewing blueprints/DXFs and programming for new parts but for the most part no-one asks or hassles me to operate other machines in the downtime. If they do I'll remind them that I'm their only programmer for these types of machnines, they'd be hard pressed to find someone who specializes in these machines in the area |
LMAO. How often do they discipline the people that show up late, leave early, and provide minimal effort?
Hell, I left work early yesterday without saying anything. No one cared. But before that I got a shit ton of work done.
But a 10 minute break is a joke and borderline insult. Go spend some time in the bathroom and whatever. |
Holy shit lmao.
If I worked somewhere that would seriously give an “award” like that I would quit immediately. That’s beyond insulting. Do you work at mcdonalds or something? |
The railroads told us, you can't have any paid sick days!!!
But, you can take a sick day, as long as you give us 30 day notice AND it's on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday! |
My work “awards” other than cash, go straight into the garbage.

I'll stay late if it's needed to make sure a patient is safe but that's about it. I just like the message of that video |

I wonder why so many are quiet quitting
Let me guess all the women in the office have unlimited breaks around the coffee machine talking shit about nothing |
One year at a former job we all got a small plastic tealight holder (about 2 inches in diameter and an inch high) with the name of the company printed on it as the Christmas gift.
100 of them probably cost 5 bucks ordered from China, even with the printing on it. Some colleagues and I were commenting on how cheap it was and I stepped on mine (intentionally) and crunched it to pieces and the boss saw it. I got a "not a team player " talk after the holidays were over. Small BS crap like the OP and my candle holder are far worse than nothing at all. It shows contempt and disregard for the employees. |
