I clean my firearms every time I'm done shooting them.
I enjoy doing it and don't see any reason not to.

Though I have a G34MOS that I put 32 rounds through to sight in the fastfire I put on it. Haven't cleaned it. It's currently itching my OCD But it's not really dirty enough to justify the patches, solvent, and q-tips yet...

Bore snake the barrel, wipe off internals, add oil as necessary,   break down the bcg and brush/wipe off and re lube.  That's about it.

I had a Geissele two stage trigger fail to function recently from dirt.   It's worth it to hose out that lower every so often with cleaner.

Pfft no. Looks fine.

That whole white gloving shit they teach in the Army and I'm sure in the Marines too, it utter fucking bullshit. And cleaning to THAT extent is probably more harmful than it is helpful.

Took me a second. You glorious bastard.

And to answer your question about the lower...when I build it, generally speaking.

It doesn't really get dirty enough for me to care. I drop a little lube in there once in a while when it looks dry. After a few years, I might hose one out with brake cleaner and re-lube it.

Took you a second? Pretty sure everyones elses eyes went straight to the 3rd pin hole goodness.

Nope. First thing I noticed was the Moose.
