I need to get into the pistola rds game View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Both you and your brother I changed the battery since it's been awhile. And changed the mounting plate as well. Smart. I thought so I may pick up one of those them there adapter plates and give a RDS a shot. Do it. I really should. At a third of the price of milling, it is a smart investment if I want to give it a shot. And I can always swap back if I decide to have the slide milled. Try it, then mill as needed. Or get a second slide. I like this idea. I need to get into the pistola rds game The issue with those is how high they sit and that they dont work with slide mounted sights. I think there's a version with sights built into the adapter plate, but they aren't adjustable for zeroing. Especially for folks just starting with a dot (including me when I did) the irons are good for transitioning irons to dot. "Bring up the gun so you can see the irons and as you're getting the sight picture, there's the dot. Eventually you stop looking for the sights during the presentation and are able to stay focused on the target while you bring the dot into your field of view. I have a version on my Walther PPQ .22, and while it works it's definitely a bit more awkward. |
