They've got a lot of stuff going on for this year. NHL alumni game last night. Two high school games and the University women's team game tonight. Couple girls HS games tomorrow.

It's more fun when it's in one of the small towns up north, but still a good weekend

Big enough deal that our high school hockey tournament consistently sells out an 18,000+ seat NHL arena, and has for decades. It's easier getting NHL playoff tickets here than it is to get high school championship game seats.

I don't remember the exact quote, but someone once asked Herb Brooks after the '80 Olympic team beat the Soviets if he ever thought he'd be able to do something more noteworthy and memorable in his career than that game and going on to win a gold medal. He said something about that being great, but that his most important milestone in hockey was winning the state tournament

Yeah, some of the youth traveling teams and stuff like that are pretty insane. Great for the kid if that's what they want, but parents get to be nuts.

Son does swimming and thats enough. Swim meets are every few Sat. Im not gna spend all our free time hovering over our kids. Go outside and learn something other than sportsball
