With all this craziness I was actually worried about the possibility of this happening here. Luckily I picked up my new HK SP5 yesterday afternoon.

Libs that aren't ideological tyrants, just the D voting herd-types; MAY get upset when they get spooked enough to want a gun and have that option taken away outright. It isn't good that it is happening now, but on the other side of this is potential for us to make something positive out of these government bodies deciding that accessibility to self-defense isn't essential. "Access to the tools of self-defense is no less essential than access to medical treatment or access to 911" |

I'm guessing because Simmons is classified as a Sporting Goods retailer? I would presume this would also apply to somewhere like Mark's Outdoors and Hoover Tactical, but would it apply to local gun only places?

If your over 25, and have not bought or obtained a gun these past few years = TOO BAD. Just say Kumbaya to the thieves and say, "Can't we all just get along."
Seen several those at the lost gun range these past few days. Too bad to the civilized people. |

So what happens if your stamp comes back? They have to get the items to the owner ASAP. I guess a 1 on 1 exchange.

So first I think its BS...on the other hand I bet its more liberal types that will be impacted by this as they seem to have suddenly decided guns aren't so bad now. Kind of like the no atheists in a foxhole type deal...

Why not a pick-a-number ticket, and 10 customers in the store at a time? Wait in your car till your number's up?

That is a bit out of the health department area of jurisdiction. Restaurants, bars, cafe's, ice cream shops yes, gun stores? Unless they are serving food to people, tell them to get the hell out of your store.

Maybe FTF sales will go up. I could use a few extra bucks getting rid of some stuff I no longer shoot.

Funny how even in red states, there is a liberal that heads a department somewhere that is willing to flex his legislative muscle to further the party agenda.

|
All these gun shops really really need to start selling "essential" stuff like bad aids, water, food etc. to create an exemption for themselves.

Some places (cough, cough, Kansas City) like to make their health department people look like police with LE style badges hanging around their necks even though they have zero law enforcement authority.

We have not been forced to close but decided to close today for the health and welfare of our customers and employees and Jefferson’s county health department has asked all retailers to close at 5 today unless they are essential. We are gathering information today. |

Ok, so guns aren't essential to the public, then neither is security for government employees, especially the mayors, governors and the like. Let's try that on for size, you know, so it's fair for everyone.
