Um... looks pretty evil actually.. dark and menacing. If you showed that without the pope in it, I would think it was something from a horror movie or horror game..

View Quote It's supposed to be some kind of anti-nuclear war commentary but like most modern art it just sucks. You wouldn't know it was anti-nuke shit unless somebody told you. Also because modern art sucks. |

If I walk into a room with that thing in it I'd expect to hear boss music.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK! That looks like something from the movie Rosemarys Baby!

God is everything that is good.
I wish we glorified him more as a society |

If the pope is the highest religious authority on earth, he should understand the entire bible right?
I guess he missed the parts about not making images of God and not worshipping idols. |

When you're a satan worshipping pedo, I suppose that's how you view the resurrection. Not surprising.

Quoted: Did the Pope really think this sculpture of Jesus was a good idea? Looks like something out of one of the Aliens movies. If the Vatican walls could talk. Glad I'm Orthodox Christian https://i.redd.it/nvv0d6rij7zz.jpg The sculpture mirrored is even more terrifying. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/peZxhEouw-w/maxresdefault.jpg View Quote |

The current occupier of the Vatican is not a Pope. He is a false prophet, plain and simple.
Thankfully, Jesus told us how to spot one coming from a mile away |

Crop out the old white perverts at the bottom and it would make a pretty cool album cover for a metal band

They took the most beautiful event (the crucifixion and the resurrection) in human history and made it ugly beyond belief.

View Quote I don't think most people would consider human crucifixion itself as a "beautiful event", but, I'm not even Christian and that sculpture is disturbing AF. I recall pics a year or 2 ago with the pope in front of some other gruesome "artwork". |

I actually liked it when I saw Pope John Paul II there in 1980. It's a very impressive piece, and I'm not even Catholic.

View Quote Well, I mean Jesus did descend into hell and on the 3rd day he came back. There's even an argument to be made there's a chance of redemption for those in hell as well. I've always had questions about that in the Apostles' Creed. |
