I enjoy egging on the teslas that think they are fast for one reason:
Make them use as much juice as possible which means they get to suffer waiting to charge their car in my town with zero ast charging stations. Bonus points if they don't make it to a charger. Used to egg on the GTRs when I worked for Nissan. Even though my little Hardbody could never keep up the GTRs sounded nice. |

Quoted: Make them waste what, a percent or two of their "tank"? View Quote Ever run a high powered brushless motor? Under heavy load you can suck down a Tesla battery with a guestimate range of 300 miles in about 50 miles. That more than 1-2%. Hell, I've got much smaller electric motors that can suck down a few KWh in no time, small ones that fit in my hand. Brushless DC motors are good at that. It might move the fuel level in my tank 1-2% if I do a short WOT pull enough to get them to stand on it for a little. Besides, it'll take me 5 mins to gain back 420 miles of range and I can do it in any town in the nation. |

I have a car I drive 5-10 days a month that will outrun a plaid.
I have more in it than a Plaid costs and given how massive the motor is, the shocking amount of aftermarket work and cost that is in it, and that it is lighter and smaller than a plaid, it has been one of the the things that makes me realize that electric is going to obsolete the ICE. It isnt there yet....but it is going to happen. |

Even if they power them another way like hydrogen, electric motors are super gangster for putting out instant torque and traction control resolution that is unbelievable. |

I'm so confused. OP raced a Tesla with that Ford Escape "Quest Diagnostics" delivery vehicle in the original post, and apparently he won?

What about that Monte Carlo in the background? That an Intimidator? I'd be more worried about that FWD 3.8L monster!

Quoted: You calling me a liar bro? You wanna throw down? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes At no point, would your 2.3 duratec be anywhere in front of a Plaid if the Plaid driver had sufficient battery and was actually trying to race you while starting at the same time as you. A Plaid has a 1.7 sec 60 foot time. Your little suv would take 1.7 sec for the rear bumper to get to the starting line. |
