I want to stand atop the sandy dunes and watch the sun set with Lord Humongous. I want to see feral children fight to the death with razor sharp boomerangs. I want to travel to Barter Town and decide for myself who runs it. I want to drive the war rig and get a handy from Furiousa. Then when I’ve finally done all those things I want to pass into the afterlife all shiny and chrome.

I think I was 16 when that was released. I think I saw it close to a dozen times at the theater. There are movies I've seen more over the years on TV and VHS/DVD, but that one holds the record for the movie theater.

It's one of the few movies we had on VHS when I was a kid. I must have seen the movie 50 times.

No CGI. When I watch it, I need beer and a large caliber revolver.

I prefer Thunderdome over Road Warrior.
But they are both good. |

Honestly, OP is not far off
It is one of the most impactful films of my youth. I really love that movie. |

I enjoyed it.
Back in the day there was a rumor that the clutch driven blower was invented here in NOVA |

Weird Science? I always liked that scene.

Thunderdome was the Godfather III of the series.
Fury Road was an excellent addition and probably better than either of the first two. |

Perhaps I’m a bit slow, but should this be an An Outlaw Josie Wales thread?

When my daughters were 7-8 years old I’d make them go in to pay for gas and taught them to say “Looks like ah got misself some gazzoline hey!”
They also learned “two days ago I saw a vehicle that’ll haul that tanka” with a decent Australian accent Being a single dad was fun at times |

Road Warrior was good, but I thought this was a Red Dawn thread.
