How old are you? Psychologically, that has a lot to do with it. We tend to seek women similar in age.
I’m 56. I find lots of women in my age range attractive that I would not have 20 years ago and especially 30 years ago.

beautiful woman no doubt
its amazing these days how many good-looking / fit 50+ year old women there are
back in the 70s - 80s -- a 35-45 year old woman looked like a hag usually (there were a few notable exceptions ...). 50+ ?? forget about it

It's not just that.
In one of these previous threads, folks posted examples.
Gremlins came out in 1984. The mom was played by Frances Lee McCain. She was 40 at the time of filming. There are a lot of 40 year olds nowadays (especially actresses), who look a LOT younger than she did. Then there's Wilford 'Beetus' Brimley. He was FIFTY when Cocoon was being filmed. I'm older than he was back then, and look nothing like that (admittedly, staying in shape and never having smoked leads folks to think I'm 10+ years younger than I am Folks mistakenly think I'm younger than colleagues who are actually a decade younger than I am)
The other thing was HS yearbook pics from the 60s and 70s. It wasn't just the old hairstyles. Even when you block out the hair to just look at the faces, a LOT of those HS seniors look like they're in their 30s.
