A woman should be on the $1 bill. The irony of seeing them all on stage at the titty bar would be great

Technically Franklin was President before Washington.

Why does there only need to be one face per denomination? Keep Jackson on one series of notes and have <feminist appeasing woman character> on another series. Germany did this with the Deutsche Mark, on paper and coin.

If Mr Jackson is to be replaced on the twenty dollar bill, I'd  very much like to see the honor go to a woman.  Sadly, there is currently no candidate whose accomplishments and contributions to our nation render her worthy to join the men whose visages grace our currency.   However, if those empowered to make this decision are hell bent on replacing Old Hickory with a woman, I suggest Lady Thatcher.  We have a fucking Kenyan in the White House, might as well have a Brit on the twenty until such time as a suitable American woman emerges.

Mrs Thatcher would be an excellent candidate.

How about Sybil Ludington?  She seems pretty cool.  Revolutionary war hero.  Female.  Hasn't gotten shit except for a postage stamp back in 1975.

That is always my first response when the subject comes up.  Next is Clara Barton.
I am glad i have been beat to both so far.  Both good candidates.

ETA: Clara Barton.  Such a pretty little thing with a will of steel! She lived to 90 and never stopped. She pretty much re-invented how hospitals-especially Army hospitals, work.

I heard some folks at Panera talking about this during lunch.  They were in their 30's and were shocked to have heard that Andrew Jackson was anti-Indian and probably...  (wait for it)  a slave owner.

Knowing that Jackson had been pretty rough on the Indians and was indeed a slave owner, I wanted to ask them how they just found out about this shocking news?  After all, they've been spending money with Jackson's face on it for their entire lives.  Didn't the once get curious about who was on their money, and do a little reading?  Did they know all the incredible things ha had done?  Instead, I choked down my bread.

Hot strippers on the $1 bill. Make it a series, like the state quarters.

Next time really blow their minds.
See those leaves around the one dollar bill?  Those are tobacco leaves!  Yes, the first wealth the colonies had, and the wealth that paid for the Revolution.

Holy sh*t.  I can not believe that I was unaware that "Old Hickory", Colonel Jackson that commanded U.S. forces in the Creek campaign, which included the Tennessee militia, (Sam Houston and Davey Crockett) served under Jackson in this campaign and President Andrew Jackson were the same person.

I must be pretty ignorant.
Freaking amazing what I don't know  :-(

I'd pay good money to see Jackson's reaction to being told that his face graced the $20 Federal Reserve Note.

This times 20. Fighting political corruption and the privatized federal bank were his greatest achievements as president.
