I would rather Pelosi get it back than McCarthy.

Republicans need to purge the Rhinos or become extinct.

He would be the last choice, behind others mentioned, like JJ, MG, MTG, GEOTUS.  Would be interesting to see whether RP could serve.  One doesn't need to be a HR member.  RP isn't, but could he be SOTH?

That said, I'm afraid we're finished. The bulkheads have been breached.  We're not underwater now, but it's inevitable.

Not to skew the poll as if I could but for the record I think McCarthy is a scummy pos. If he wins we'll see the the fastest degradation of conservatism in our history. He'll "compromise" with the left at every chance as he'll be rewarded in his personal finances beyond anything we've ever seen. IMHO the ONLY reason he is in politics is for self enrichment. Congress is FULL of people like him and its killing us.

Scalise. He showed his true colors when he refused to go wobbly after being shot up.

Then they need to play "Hit 'Em Up" for his entrance music every time he walks in. House of Representin'!

There is not a Man, Woman, or Child in Washington DC that is "Constitutionally" worthy to be a Patriotic Speaker of the House.

In order for this once great nation to become great again ALL in DC must vanish into thin air, never to be heard of again.

He's one of those Rs that's really a D (uniparty).

Him being elected is a continuation of the sellout and downward slide of this country.

Let's come back to reality. If he doesn't get enough votes then what is the expected progression at that point?

Not pie in the sky stuff, but where does reality stand?

Let me know when you're done speculating about unrealistic expectations otherwise we hand the ball back to the Dems.

They will keep voting until people get tired and want to go home. Then he'll win.

i don't know him, really.
But if he's backed by the same people who gave us Boner and Ryan, then that's an anti-recommendation.

These votes take about an hour and change. So we gonna do this a few more times and break?

I don't see a big change with everyone just sitting there. McCarthy had a chance in the past month to try to win over the 20 or so who are going to vote against him. He failed. That's kind of the #1 job of a Speaker. His problem is his colleagues do know him, and know he will keep fucking them over just as he has his whole time in leadership. It's the parable of the turtle and scorpion crossing the river.

They gotta come up with Plan B tonite, and work it to roll out tomorrow.
