Thoughts as a potential Trump running mate? I like her and Kari Lake. NeverTrumps need not apply.

I thought version one was cuter.
I almost didn’t recognize her on the news yesterday. |
|
I'd support her as a running mate for any Republican nominee,
but she has a good, safe gig as SD Governor. I don't think she's interested running for VP at this time. |

Quoted: Didn’t she fold to the woke NCAA? View Quote She backed off on a proposed law to ban transgender males in women's sports. The NCAA threatened their college sports programs. SD doesn't have any pro sports teams. College sports is pretty much it for them. I think she folded more to her constituents. As it should be. |

She'd have been my second choice behind a different GOP governor. What put her in second place for me was that she's able to do righteous conservative stuff on a friendly playing field, while the other guy I had in mind was able to perform in a much more neutral environment.
Either way, still a fan. She's part of why SD is on the short list for my escape plan. ETA: also, what Enzo said. Part of that was also that she told the legislature to send her something that would survive the inevitable lawsuits, instead of pissing away state resources on something that would fail in court. IIRC, anyway. |

She's hot.
But, I think we need to NOT TAKE GOOD GOVERNORS from our few strong points of conservativism for what may be a long-shot national election. Yes, I think it is absolutely fucking DUMB for Desantis to run. If he wins, that's a crack in a stronghold that all of us need. |

My opinion of kristi noem is that i wanna wear her legs like a scarf

Wait for it....
And here we have it; ARF purity laws ensuring another loss via group think. No way Biden got 81 million votes, but how many on our side stayed home? Will you not vote for a R candidate being the nominee but not your guy/gal, or the VP slot not your candidate? Will you stay home? Who do you hate more? A conservative/ticket that doesn't EXACTLY believe what you believe, or Joe Biden? Are you willing to lose an election that results in decades, if not a century, or worse, of increased tyranny.....because the nominee wasn't your candidate and wasn't PERFECT in your eyes? WTF do you care, you'll be dead right? LOL We almost deserve it. |

We need a depth of defense (and a multi front offense) and, in the Repub party, pickings are slim |

Why should she trade a good gig as a popular governor for being the second banana in a losing presidential bid?

Noem can be someone else’s running mate, Trump is a waste of time.
|

She is not going to tie her political future to a guy circling the drain. Which is exactly what is happening. I am not a "never Trumper", I voted for him twice and would again if he is the Republican nominee. However, he is done.

This is Arfcom, they found a reason to bitch about Salma Hayek’s big bouncy boobs a few days back.

As I recall, she claimed she thought the original bill wouldn't stand in court as worded (would get the state sued by universities), so she vetoed it. She then issued an EO banning it up through HS and recommending colleges ban it. Soon after, tthey passed a bill that suited her and the legislature, which she signed. It may not have been the best look, but it's hard to be 100% sure of her motives, and it got done in the long run. At least she didn't ask the leguslature to pass a very specific bill then veto exactly what she asked for. Then call the legislature into an expensive special session to address the exact same issue. Our previous governor did that, which is an example of the sort of behavior that helped a D beat him in a really red state. |

She isn't into transmutants participating in sports. Sounds like someone was getting their info from CNN or MSNBC. The local media was on the same tear trying to make here sound like a trans enthusiast. Propoganda. |

View Quote Kari Lake is a loon who isn't going anywhere, so it is no loss for her to tie herself to Trump like that if he is the nominee. Noem would be a damned fool to be Trump's running mate in such a scenario. Guaranteed political suicide. |
