I just finished this one today for my friend Leroy. It's a 1974 Kawasaki S1 250. When I fired it up yesterday it started on the 2nd kick.

I just checked the pictures and they are too big. Can I fix it so they are a better size?

Outstanding work. Everything just brought back to stock, or anything extra done on it?

Makes me feel bad about the '77 GS I've been neglecting...

ETA: pics look fine on this end

Thanks fellas!  Is my camera set wrong or is it something else? My previous restoration threads have properly sized pictures and I haven't changed anything that I know of.

It is showroom new with no extra polish or bling. I call them "remanufactured as new".

It was raining tonight when I finished so I couldn't get any pictures outside. I will tomorrow.

I chubbed...again.

My first bike in 1976 was an RD 200 two-smoker.

As stated...your work is second to none. Thank you so much for sharing.

I would like to place my bid for that hunk of paint over rust. I am will to bid $759. I could even be talked into going as high as $800.

Great work OP. Do you vapor blast your parts, cases, cylinders etc? Where did you find a NEW speedometer? Did you need to repaint or was it a real good starter project?

That's a beautiful little motorcycle. I love your threads.

The meters are always rebuilt, even if you bought nos you would still have to take them apart and replace the dried out grease for them to work right. The cases and cylinders are finished with my own methods, mostly hand work. The bike was solid but every part was tired and had to be brought back to spec.

Does it get titled with zero miles or sold with unknown mileage?

In our state if the motorcycle is 20 years old or older the mileage is not listed on the title.

Bad ass dude. A buddy of mine does restorations of 1970s era Honda’s and only recently started selling openly.
It seems there is a market for these types of things

Amazing job.

How long did it take?

Had a 1975 CB360T back in the early 80's and really miss it.

Thought about looking around for one and either restoring it myself or paying someone to do it.

From the content of your pictures, I should let a pro do it.

Awesome work. I would be curious to read a write up on the process as well. What was restored and what was replaced? Things like that.
