Quoted: That's a different user. Here is the post, by me, that you initially replied to, with the part you ignored highlighted: Also, for the stats, you can look up exit polls from any election in the last 30 years. Dems win with women. If you look at racial break downs, dems occasionally lose among white women by razor thin margins, but win with all other categories very consistently. Of course, that isn't always, or even usually the #1 deciding factor. With very few exceptions, the deciding factor is actually total POC turnout vs. white male turn out. The result of taking women out of the equation varies from election to election, and from district to district, state to state, but it is almost always either: results the same -OR- D flips to R. I say almost because there may have been some bizarre outlier somewhere, mostly due to stragglers in the party re-allignment that occured in the 20th century, which is also why I qualified my statement to the last 30 years. I've been pretty consistent from the beginning in my stance that this entire affair is an example of democracy itself being a failure. View Quote My apologies. Quoted: This is what Populism gets you. View Quote Exactly. 10 years ago a Republican Lauren Boebert, MTG or George Santos would have never been elected to a national office. Then a guy named Trump came along and “conservatives” collectively said “Standards and principles? Who needs those?!? Standards and principles are just getting in the way of us WINNING! Let’s go the other direction. Let’s go the populist, ‘political WWE’ route. It’ll be great!” Problem is, the elections of 2018, 2020, and 2022 (“red wave”, anyone?) have aptly demonstrated this was an unwise calculus. In 2022 in particular, Republican performance wasn’t just bad. It was historically bad for a mid-term, out-of-power party. The GOP has been increasingly looking like a completely unserious party. When the GOP excommunicates a solid, actual conservative like Liz Cheney while celebrating (or even just tolerating) the antics of its fringe looney wing as represented by people like Boebert…that’s a problem. When a person like Mike Pence becomes persona non grata amongst “conservatives” because he had the gall to uphold his oath of office and the U.S. Constitution…that’s a problem. And when the leading GOP candidate for POTUS is defined by 91 criminal charges, 4 indictments, 2 prior impeachments, a civil conviction for sexual assault (that the judge literally called “rape”), a fraudulent charity, a fraudulent university, six prior bankruptcies (two of which were casinos…businesses that are mathematically guaranteed to make money), who is literally the most unpopular politician in America, and who - in almost every way - simply fails at being even a somewhat decent human…that’s a problem. Yet, what are we hearing from most “conservatives” these days? “Give us more of the above! Let’s take ‘stupid’ and double-down on it!!!” And the sad thing is, if Republicans get shellacked in 2024 (a very real possibility if Trump is on the ticket), most are going to be cluelessly standing around, scratching their asses, and saying “Wait, how did that happen?? Didn’t everyone get the memo that we were supposed to have a ‘red wave’? How was it even possible that a plurality of Americans looked at the clown car known as ‘the post-Trump GOP’, and roundly concluded ‘No thanks.’ I know, I know…it must have been fffffraud!!! Yeah, let’s go with that one. I’m sure no one will notice that we’re full of shit.” Let’s hope “conservatives” awake from their Trumpian, populist fever-dream before they take the rest of us down with them. |

Quoted: Exactly. View Quote You forgot the part where Trump actually advocated for suspending the constitution and people here agreed with it. Boebert has advocated christian nationalism and suspension of the 1st amendment, if anyone thinks that MTG or Boebert gives two shits about the constitution they're living in peak hypocrisy. |

View Quote Just read the guy that's groping her tits while she's stroking his dick is both.... -A democrat bar owner that she's been privately dating for a few months. -His bar earlier this year hosted a drag show. For the 4,589th time I've repeated it, all of these populist politician types are playing a CHARACTER. Like a WWF/WWE character that acts one way on camera and a completely different person in real life. They play a character because that character is what brings them in money and power. They'll publicly talk about how drag queens, gays, and liberals are destroying the fabric of America all day on cable or AM news. But then privately, they'll spend all of their free time with the people that support all of this stuff. Just like Tucker Carlson and so many others, I bet the moment Lauren Boebert is off camera she privately mocks all the people that voted for her and is embarrassed with the character she has to play. Maybe it's just me but I couldn't live with myself spending my entire days railing against a specific part of the population and then go home and choose to spend most of my time with that exact type of person that I've just publicly condemned in interviews or social media for the previous 8-10hrs. Types like her are not on our team. The only "team" they're on is saying whatever to keep the money flowing in. Her entire persona is fake. |

Man, don’t let the bad news keep you up all night long, the good news is we will be able to replace her with someone that wants blow up kids and dirt farmers on the other side of the world like a respectable congressperson.
