You can primary her if you want. She votes the way I would if I were in that seat, so I'm more than happy to keep her there.

ETA: her replacement in that seat will not vote pro-gun. She will be the last Republican to hold that seat at least until the 2030 redistricting. So go ahead and replace her on the ballot with someone without the incumbency advantage but who knows how to act in a theater, because nominating cultured and well-mannered candidates has always worked out so well for us in the past. Maybe Krista Kafer can move to CD3 and clear her calendar?

Lauren Boebert gave usher the FINGER after being booted from Denver Beetlejuice musical performance - as pregnant woman who sat behind GOP rep shares details of lawmaker's horrific behavior

The Denver Post spoke to a pregnant woman who says she was sitting behind Boebert, but who was too scared to give her name for fear of MAGA-reprisals. The woman claims Boebert said 'no,' when asked to stop vaping, sang with her hands in the air, blew vape smoke at her, kissed her date and took repeated videos during the show.

She claims she asked to move seats in the intermission - and that staff at the theater said theirs wasn't the only complaint about the erratic lawmaker.  The woman also told the Post that Boebert's lover Gallagher offered to buy them cocktails as a peace offering, which she had to decline because of her pregnancy.

Colorado’s 3rd Congressional will now flip blue. Mission accomplished! She owned the libs.

At least the democrat will probably not vape, sing along with musicals, wear revealing dresses, or be female. Another win for decency, good genteel manners, and a disturbingly large proportion of the posters in this thread.

ETA: can we make 20 pages by Monday? Remember, $10 to Boebert's reelection campaign for every page in this stupid thread when my next paycheck lands!

Or maybe she could be primaried.

Your money would be better spent on East Colfax.

Okay, find one who is willing to run, can keep the seat, and will still be pro-gun after taking office. And if your proposed replacement is also willing to throw a wrench into electing the next Speaker in order to ensure that he won't just roll over for whatever the Dems in the Senate or the WH want, even better.

Personally I don't like it much when people vape around me cause you never know what chinese garbage chemicals are in that stuff. I would rather people just smoke an old fashion cigarette. She should have lit one of those up in there. Or if she was really based she should have had a dip and spit on the floor or in a cup.

And is willing to face the media scrutiny from being perceived as a MAGA-wing politician.  Plus maybe an indictment or three.  All of that really shrinks the pool.

Provided the incident happened as stated, it sounds trashy.  I've similar behaving (though not looking) people in my family.  I can see them acting similarly.  But I can't take a media account about a MAGA politician at face value anymore.

She's from your district? If so, this thread has really been directed to you, and people from her district. Look, nobody cares how she votes, she is embarrassing and debases the entire Republic party. Since you weren't willing to vote her out, it is the duty of the GOP to illustrate just how common she is. Just know that your betters will do everything we can to undermine her re-election chances. Should that mean a democrat wins? Not as harmful as Boebert has been to the dignity of our federal government.

No, I'm a district east from there, which went D by a margin not much larger, partly because the R reminded people of Maud Flanders. She had great manners and decorum and we can all see how well that worked out

And I don't consider the "dignity of our federal government" my primary concern. I'd make them wear clown suits on the floor of Congress if I could.

That's a different user.

Here is the post, by me, that you initially replied to, with the part you ignored highlighted:

Also, for the stats, you can look up exit polls from any election in the last 30 years. Dems win with women. If you look at racial break downs, dems occasionally lose among white women by razor thin margins, but win with all other categories very consistently.

Of course, that isn't always, or even usually the #1 deciding factor. With very few exceptions, the deciding factor is actually total POC turnout vs. white male turn out. The result of taking women out of the equation varies from election to election, and from district to district, state to state, but it is almost always either: results the same -OR- D flips to R. I say almost because there may have been some bizarre outlier somewhere, mostly due to stragglers in the party re-allignment that occured in the 20th century, which is also why I qualified my statement to the last 30 years.

I've been pretty consistent from the beginning in my stance that this entire affair is an example of democracy itself being a failure.

Exactly.

10 years ago a Republican Lauren Boebert, MTG or George Santos would have never been elected to a national office.

Then a guy named Trump came along and “conservatives” collectively said “Standards and principles? Who needs those?!? Standards and principles are just getting in the way of us WINNING! Let’s go the other direction. Let’s go the populist, ‘political WWE’ route. It’ll be great!”

Problem is, the elections of 2018, 2020, and 2022 (“red wave”, anyone?) have aptly demonstrated this was an unwise calculus. In 2022 in particular, Republican performance wasn’t just bad. It was historically bad for a mid-term, out-of-power party.

The GOP has been increasingly looking like a completely unserious party.

When the GOP excommunicates a solid, actual conservative like Liz Cheney while celebrating (or even just tolerating) the antics of its fringe looney wing as represented by people like Boebert…that’s a problem.

When a person like Mike Pence becomes persona non grata amongst “conservatives” because he had the gall to uphold his oath of office and the U.S. Constitution…that’s a problem.

And when the leading GOP candidate for POTUS is defined by 91 criminal charges, 4 indictments, 2 prior impeachments, a civil conviction for sexual assault (that the judge literally called “rape”), a fraudulent charity, a fraudulent university, six prior bankruptcies (two of which were casinos…businesses that are mathematically guaranteed to make money), who is literally the most unpopular politician in America, and who - in almost every way - simply fails at being even a somewhat decent human…that’s a problem.

Yet, what are we hearing from most “conservatives” these days? “Give us more of the above! Let’s take ‘stupid’ and double-down on it!!!”

And the sad thing is, if Republicans get shellacked in 2024 (a very real possibility if Trump is on the ticket), most are going to be cluelessly standing around, scratching their asses, and saying “Wait, how did that happen?? Didn’t everyone get the memo that we were supposed to have a ‘red wave’? How was it even possible that a plurality of Americans looked at the clown car known as ‘the post-Trump GOP’, and roundly concluded ‘No thanks.’ I know, I know…it must have been fffffraud!!! Yeah, let’s go with that one. I’m sure no one will notice that we’re full of shit.”

Let’s hope “conservatives” awake from their Trumpian, populist fever-dream before they take the rest of us down with them.

I don't know what I'd do the posters, but I wouldn't turn down the keys to one of your hunting properties.

I don't know what the heartburn is with Noem. She seems okay from a distance. But it seems unlikely that she'd be replaced by a dem POS even if you did primary her, which is at least part of the problem here.

At least I hope a Dem doesn't replace her. SD is on my short list for my escape plan from here.

Nothing in that breakdown contradicts anything that I've said.

Women overall blue, white women are even split, actual determining factor in most races is turn out of white males vs. (both male and female) POC. Taking women out of the equation sometime you get same result, sometimes you flip blue to red, almost never flip red to blue.

So...if democracy is a failure, what do you suggest in its place?

That's a whole other discussion. This thread is already off topic enough.

But as a preview for when someone actually feels like starting a thread about it: I'm prepared to sign off on a proper monarchy.

When your representative looks like a fool, it makes those that voted look like fools as well.  Note that nobody shows the same vacuous devotion to the politicians you mention that many in this thread show to Boebert.  Don't you think showing Boebert's boorish behavior gives the democrats a weapon to use during the election cycle?  It does, and whoever wins the middle wins the vote.  Elect better people, you have less of a problem with that.

Sure they're going to try to do it anyway, but why make it easy on them?
That 2nd sentence didn't English correctly or something...

I didn't see any boorish behavior, did you?  I saw people being ejected and not being happy about it but there was no bad behavior caught on camera.  Unless I missed it.  So I quickly concluded that Denver being a liberal stronghold, someone noticed her and didn't like her so they Karened up some bullshit.  I mean if the bad behavior happened, it was on camera and the media would have shown it.

I've had people yell at me for driving a truck in Ithaca, liberals aren't rational.

Shitting on someone you don't know, but who is a known political ally, for reasons that aren't in evidence seems like a stretch. We need all the help we can get.

sure is suspicious how surveillance video exists but does not corroborate vaping allegations or her interacting with any of the other people seated nearby.

It's not suspicious, it's totally expected.

They showed every single second from every single view point from the moment they first started talking to her, even showing her out on the public sidewalk.  But not a single video of her doing what they claimed.

Just reviving this thread to see what people think about a sitting Representative giving a handy in a crowded theater.

And what they'd do if it was someone on the other side.

If it’s Boebert or AOC my reaction would be the same, I’d imagine about them while in the shower wishing I was the lucky date.

You forgot the part where Trump actually advocated for suspending the constitution and people here agreed with it.

Boebert has advocated christian nationalism and suspension of the 1st amendment, if anyone thinks that MTG or Boebert gives two shits about the constitution they're living  in peak hypocrisy.

Just read the guy that's groping her tits while she's stroking his dick is both....

-A democrat bar owner that she's been privately dating for a few months.

-His bar earlier this year hosted a drag show.

For the 4,589th time I've repeated it, all of these populist politician types are playing a CHARACTER.

Like a WWF/WWE character that acts one way on camera and a completely different person in real life.

They play a character because that character is what brings them in money and power.

They'll publicly talk about how drag queens, gays, and liberals are destroying the fabric of America all day on cable or AM news.

But then privately, they'll spend all of their free time with the people that support all of this stuff.

Just like Tucker Carlson and so many others, I bet the moment Lauren Boebert is off camera she privately mocks all the people that voted for her and is embarrassed with the character she has to play.

Maybe it's just me but I couldn't live with myself spending my entire days railing against a specific part of the population and then go home and choose to spend most of my time with that exact type of person that I've just publicly condemned in interviews or social media for the previous 8-10hrs.

Types like her are not on our team. The only "team" they're on is saying whatever to keep the money flowing in.

Her entire persona is fake.

Man, don’t let the bad news keep you up all night long, the good news is we will be able to replace her with someone that wants blow up kids and dirt farmers on the other side of the world like a respectable congressperson. Silver linings and all that jazz
